On 6 days of the week I learn, but Shabbat is dedicated to my main feeling: grate-full-ness.
Since feelings must be vibrated~ wombed, each day closes with a song, fitting the 7 lines

To challenge myself like that -while not knowing what will be "staged"
in my personal and in the world's drama till 2028 , exhilarates me!

Since 6, functioning towards 4 days of storm, rain, cold, then warmth, sandals. Oh how I hate packing for traveling in winter! But that's small compared to my fright of having let all the family know that I'm available, in-directly, "stepping on eggs". Yael: Why don't you send an SMS to everyone! Now she knows, I'm not wanted!

July 11, 2004 - July 11, 2006

"The Bedouin will not welcome you!" warned Sa'ar from "Rakhaf"'
when he picked me up - today, two years ago.
"I invite you to erect your tent on my hosting business,
as a safe point of departure for your activity in the Zealots' Valley!"

Despite this safety I attracted contempt, opposition and distortion of my intentions.
There was only one woman who understood my vision and loved me.

In order to visit her secretly, I circumvented the compounds of Bedouin families,
attached myself to the edges of the mountains... and sat on a stone to rest.
It was there that I was spotted by "the angel-on-duty-on the edge of the abyss".
Hathra (11 in Oct. 2004) approached me : "Come to us, my mother will be glad!"

Don't initiate! Don't invite! But refuse an invitation? - I responded.
This was in October 2004 and from then on I visited them every week.


Did I come to Samira and her 7 children to empower them?
Or did they-they invite me to give me back my self-esteem?

The 'kukhul' which they put on my eye-lids
already during our second encounter
My face is reddened with weeping,
and on my eyelids is the shadow of death; Job 16:16
together with the gift of a tiny bottle with self-made kukhul,
caused me to love myself when looking into the mirror!

and the five bracelets for my arm
which I got from the Valley's girls
and the gift of ornaments for throat & hair from Hathra?
a gift for ME when we celebrated the birthdays
not of me , but of her mother, her brother, her sister?

 

 
In hindsight this triple birthday in January 2006
was also the "Nebo-Let-Go" of the togetherness with them,
and after some weeks Samira gave birth to her eighth child
and called him:
"Saaber - the one who is patient"

My greatest failure and shame - 30 years ago, in 1976 - can also be better understood now:
Bir'am and the Arab-Jewish summer-camp

 

30 years ago, in July 1976, a question was delivered to the Israeli Parliament:
"Why did Yitzhak Rabbin, the minister, forbid the summer-camp at Bir'am,
intended for the children of the uprooted [Arab] people
together with the children of the [Jewish] settlers who enjoy the land of Bir'am?"
[I now - July 15, 2008, found out, that Rabin was Prime-Minister at that time!]

This was my most ignominious defeat in the realization of a model for peace:
"Peace through the creation of conditions for positive dependency = partnership:
Common Interest, Mutual Trust, Equality in Self-Respect".

Then, too, the basis was the economy! projects which also included "Hosting",
in order to compensate for the many acres of agricultural land
stolen from the uprooted people,
- for the sake of lifting their self-esteem and their honor in the eyes of the world.

The summer-camp in the ruins of Bir'am
was planned as a symbol for the entire project,
and when even the symbol was forbidden, the people of Bir'am expressed bitter scorn,
though I got access to Shimon Peres, then Minister of Finances with the Bir'am outline,
But this too failed, since his government fell.
[ Menachem Begin was elected, and since he was the pupil of Jabotinski,
who had always promised the Bir'am people to return their land and village to them),
the Bir'am committee demanded from me:
"You can put your program into the drawer,
for through Begin our village will be returned as a whole."
[They didn't understand, that in that case Begin would have had a war at his hands:
the 3 Jewish settlements on Bir'am land + the entire Jewish population in solidarity with them]

and the creative architect,

2014 Was this the first TENT?


Much later my Bir'am partner, Nimr Ismir, said, that he had understood:

"Rachel, our work was doomed to fail,
for in order for the uprooted people to grasp their self-determination,
we would have needed to educate them for a long, long time...."

This is the reason for the suspension
of the realization of the Pyramidion.
The Bedouin in the Zealots' Valley and my Ahmed in Sinai
and also "my partners" as repesented in Boris and in Hagai,
they all are like "a crushed reed and a darkened wick",
who shy away from ma'amatz, ometz, otzmah,
from effort, from courage, from being powerful.


"All hands will be feeble, and every human heart will melt"

And why?

We don't have with us all that belongs to us,
our feelings are denied and repressed,
like shame and the fear of shame!
and our body which is meant to vibrate them,
is in some corner, trampled upon and downtrodden

"Education", as was suggested, will not avail.
And even personal example, trust, guidance:
a flame for a moment that will fade in despair

Micha's i-phone detected, that the music which opened in his jeep, was
Robert Casadesus, Beethoven, piano concerto in E flat
In addition to the elation I felt during our short trip, by jeep and by foot,
there were also these remnants of an ancient wall,
and the signs of a channel that led water to a cistern.
I reminded Micha of my dream, that he would be a desert-water-engineer..
. and I recalled all my own attempts, to precisely explore and envision
a modern system of cisterns in the desert:

Since 1992: in the "Midbarons", i.e. the service villages of the Succayot.

1995 My proposal for a memorial "Water in the Desert"
for the murdered Primeminister Yitzhak Rabin,
who in his youth wanted to become a water-engineer

1999 - on the military basis of "Rakhaf", close to the SaltSea,
intended as a "twin-Ohalah" together with a "Twin-Rihlaah" in Palestine.

On September 13, 2008 , I wrote in K.i.s.s.-log

In 1994, Immanuel Rosenzweig, my son prepared my 1993 novel for print
and wrote on the back-cover - in Hebrew:
Through this delighting story Dr. Rachel Bat-Adam
["you shouldn't have mentioned my title here",
"Yes, I should! It is more impressive!"]
describes her vision, the social, technological and economic aspects of which
create an infra-structure in the desert which complements the city.
In her vision - based on the comparative advantage of the desert
- Space, Purity and Silence -balance is achieved with the life in the city.

The story of the vision which has been woven for many years
was written in "Succah in the Desert" which is near Mitzpe-Ramon.
The experiment in Succah in the Desert
- which in addition to being a touristic facility -
is meant to be a first model of the vision.
The intertwining of real people
who are taken from the environment which is close to Dr. Rachel Bat-Adam
- family and friends,
conveys the feeling of authenticity during the reading of the story,
and moreover constitutes a daring measurement
for the realization of the vision in the coming years.

Remembering the vision about the cisterns in my "Alt-Neu-Land"
and in the 1995 Proposal "Water in the Desert"
as a Memorial for Yitzchak Rabin,
who once was a water . engineer,
not the army commander of the Six Day War, nor the Prime-minister of Israel,
I decided to dedicate part of this Shabbat to that novel and to that vision,
While figuring out the best way to scan the pages
I see myself sighing and crying...
Efrat in her song for my 70th birthday sculpted:
"The 70th year then folds itself [slang for "leaves']
she knows how to loose.."

But it's not only the shame and the pain,
that except for the first model of my vision, Succah in the Desert
nothing at all has materialized,
it's also the memory of the circumstances
of the writing of the novel in September 1993,
[ I was so elated by the Oslo-Accords, that I moved to Tel-Aviv:
to do more effective work on the wider vision,
and lived in the flat of Michal Dror, then a hostess in Succah in the Desert]
and of the production of the novel in spring 1994:
"Imru (Immanuel & his wife Ruth)+Borochov" (Gadi & Efrat Lybrock)
were a company then.. and even lived in the same house in Shenkin St. Tel-Aviv...
I just read, that the Oslo-Accords were signed exactly on September 13, 1995.
And after 13 years?
Rabin dead, Arafat dead, Peace dead,
and only Succah in the Desert does still exist,
but except for me nobody is interested in emphasizing,
that it was and is meant to be a scientific model of a universal vision.
I believe, that it created a certain standard for other - very private - desert enterprises
concerning the integration of Man in Nature.
But on this day this doesn't console me.
I am grieved....

I am a pioneer
of the assignment of present humankind:
self-acceptance - self-esteem - self-love,
and my prophecy is that the time is near
for "the hundredst monkey" to appear,
i.e. for the quantum-leap in the evolution of love.
This is implied in the song - created - in the desert
around the birth of Rotem, my granddaugher, in 1993

(in 1. King 19:5, the rotem-shrub of Eliyah the prophet
appears both as male and female, and is a metaphor for the ONE
"And he slept under a rotem-shrub"

Only now
-after my experience in the "Zealots' Valley"
do I understand the condition
for the success of my vision:
Each realization of a dream,
each "progress" in the world,
risks "reversal", the explosion of the "anti"
[see enlightened Germany and the Holocaust]
if the realization is not based on self-acceptance,
of those who realize a dream, a vision, a progress,
and of those people for whose sake we "realize".


On March 18, after my return to Arad, I am completing the 2014 re-view of "Nebo-let-Go"(2006-2008).

 

 

I gave access to them
that asked not for Me,
I was at hand to them
that sought Me not;
I said: 'Behold Me, behold Me',
unto a nation that was not called by My name
I have spread out My hands all the day
unto a rebellious people,
that walk .....after their own thoughts
Isaiah 65:1-2 - a tune came and it became a 2014 song, March

What pierces my intestines, is the closure of that last Nebo-let-Go composition,
with Rotem-as-if-doubting-grandma and with Me, from my back.
Why "pierces"?
Yael had followed my quest, to "let the family know",
that I would be available for four days, if someone wanted to see me.
About Rotem she let me know - hardly audible :
"Rotem said, she was not interested. "
When I came home, I saw "Moon Light",
once painted on wood by Rotem, when she visited me at Arad..
I am at peace and whole with my daughter's disconnection , for 11 years now
and during the last year more even than before.
But I admit, I'm pained by Rotem's "disinterest".
When I saw her at Mika's birthday together with her boyfriend,
I asked her - as lightly as possible - if I had done something wrong, since we hadn't met since her boyfriend was in her life.
She evaded a clear answer and now Yael told me expressively: "She felt mad about your question - as if her boyfriend had anything to do with this."

 

 
2008
I, Christa-Rachel,
a month before my 70th birthday,
turned away from my life-long work
for changing the world on the exterior level.

Rotem, my granddaughter,
puts on her doubting face as if saying: "except for experiencing and growing - what have you achieved, Savta?"

Maybe together,
grandmother and granddaughter
will find a way
to bring about the quantum-leap of
self-acceptance, self-esteem, self-love,
which is the condition
for any true manifestation
of Heaven-on-Earth -
without reversals and holocausts...

2014
Perhaps it is not Rotem but Yael,
whose embrace of grandma
I discovered on Google on Jan. 31, 2013,
which will help "me" with that quantum-leap?
Synchronicity: On this same day, same page - Yael of 2014 meets Yael of 2008
Yael and I left the house , passed by the "Purimon" of the Scouts for the children of Shoham, went up to the water-tower
discovered this memorial about a soldier killed 32 years ago, and finally found a place, a bit removed from all the noise.
It was there, that we talked about death, as Yael had experienced it - through the father of her friend - for the first time.


Day 42`- from among 42 days -BLOOMING HUMANS ARE WE!

[This is a summary of the 42 days, which is too "spiritual" for me]
Already on the first of our four days
I shared my Tent-Vision with Mika
and won her over
to take part in the creation
of a three- dimensional Ohalah-model,
"but under one condition",
she stressed:
"that the model will be placed in the Mishkan".

"But the Mishkan is part of the model,
so how can it be placed in the Mishkan?"
She had to repeat her condition several times, and only when she saw the Four-Nations-Tent at the Red Sea,
and pointed to the low table in its center,
did I get it:
"You mean: your condition is that the model will be placed in the real Mishkan!
And why is this important?
"So that once when everything is created,
we can remember, how we started!"
She said "WE".
Of course, most of the work was too difficult for her, and almost for me.
But when the "big" triangles of bristol-board and "Aluminet" were cut and glued together, she had no problem transforming them in to tetrahedrons.
Still the intricate sticking together
of the 4 little triangles with celotape,
was up to me.

Mika opens one youtube-video after the other,
and sings songs, mostly love-songs, that make me ask:
"What will you sing, when you'll be eighteen?"
But she also is the little eight-year-old in Abba's arms.
And Abba? He was born to me a second time today!
While on flight in the reserve service of the Airforce,
an incredible event occurred that almost killed him.
"This was the greatest miracle in my life so far!"
And to make him and us even more aware,
-on the way home a crazy car drove zig-zag,
and Immanuel could save himself only
by swiftly moving to the side of the road and waiting.
What is Mika's task?


He didn't want to respond to my question: "What does it mean?"
and said instead: "I lit a candle!"
