I focus my experiencing and awareness on being
"a   pioneer of  Evolution  in  learning  to  feel":
I let my Body vibrate and my Heart 'womb'

pain, shame, fear, boredom, powerlessness,
so feelings can >heal >guide>fulfill
>evolve,
and ~~~ offer ~~~"goldmines"~~~ to us all!!
"I want you to feel everything, every little thing!"

"Megilat" - T A M A R
Genesis 38

Tamar means Palm-Tree,
see my sculptures about the tree
and the names in my life connected to it:
Tomer, Itamar, Tamir

There are two biblical women called Tamar,
both connected to sex scandals:

Tamar, the victim, and Tamar, the victor
Tamar, the victim, was King David's daughter,
raped by one of King David's (the Messiah's) sons
[2.Samuel 13]
while Tamar, the victor, was invented as the originator of King David's (the Messiah's) genealogy.
Tamar originated the ten mystical generations by making Yehuda, her father-in-law, sleep with her.
[Genesis 38+Ruth 4:16-22]

2009_06_24
It was only today, that I found out,
that there is a reference to this story in Malachi 2: 10-12,
which means first of all, that the legend about Tamar and Yehuda was invented before the 3 chapters of this last of the prophets in the Bible.
It also means, that Tamar was indeed understood as a non-Hebrew woman, which from the text in Genesis 38 is not clear.
What is saddening me is Malachi's (="The Messenger's") total misunderstanding of the goal of the symbolic legend.

Have we not all one father?
Hath not one God created us?
Why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, profaning the covenant of our fathers?
Judah hath dealt treacherously,
and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah hath profaned the holiness of the LORD
which He loveth,
and hath married the daughter of a foreign god.
May the LORD cut off to the man that doeth this...

My own understanding - as demonstrated throughout this library about The hidden Female Thread of Redemption -
is put into a nutshell in a song:
"Ha-Qdeshah"-"The Holy Whore"

Peretz became the ancestor of Boaz, Rut's husband
[fromBiographical Intro to "EFRAT" ]
"the nagging name Rut"
It should be written without an "h", just like "Efrat"!
Moreover, when written with an "h"
the mystical link between Efrat and Rut gets lost in English.
For, as I found out, there is this order of fictitional characters:
T -ama - R

ef - R -a T
[Megilat-Efrat]
R - u- T [Megilat-Rut].
The name "Rut", was created out of T -ama - R & ef - R -a T

Tamar and Rut,
both widows, both daughters-in-law,
one of a father-in-law, Yehuda, and one of a mother-in-law, Naomi,
both the ancestresses of David Messiah.

Genesis 38

"Now it was at about that time
that Yehuda went down, away from his brothers

[he begins to grow into a leader
towards his "standing in the breach" ]

and turned aside to an Adullamite man-
his name was Hira.

[as to the mentioning of Adullam see Bethlehem&David]

There Yehuda saw the daughter of a Canaanite man-
his name was Shua,
he took her (as his wife) and came in to her.

"She became pregnant and bore a son,
and he called his name; Er
[means: "awake"...]
she became pregnant again and bore a son,
and she
[she! not he!) called his name: Onan.
Once again she bore a son,
and she called his name; Shela. ...

"Yehuda took a wife for Er, his firstborn-
her name was Tamar.

[I'm sure, that the author chose this name,
in order to redeem the raped Tamar,
the victim, the daughter of David.]

But Er, Yehuda's firstborn, did ill in the eyes of YHWH,
and YHWH caused him to die.

"Yehuda said to Onan:
Come in to your brother's wife,
do a brother-in-law's duty by her,
to preserve seed for your brother!"

ALT-NEU-LAND

With my grandson Jonathan, a day before his 11th birthday, 2002_04_14, walking towards the cliff of the Ramon-Crater
which I call "Qedeshah", "Holy-Prostitute".
When Yehuda saw her, he thought her
"a whore". The crude term "zonah" is used her.
When he sent his friend with the payment, the friend asked the people for that
"qedeshah", a much more refined term,
and the people answered: there is no
"qedeshah" here.

The author needed to let these two die.
He didn't find a reason for the death of Er,
so I - in my song - invented, that he was just not living up to his name "Awake" and let himself die.

The reason that the author found for the death of Onan is clear:
As a preparation for the shocking sex affair which he is about to unravel,
he first attacks another sex issue, so denied by every one until recently: masturbation.
[What a coincidence:
see what I discovered today about my beloved Rabbi Yehuda Hanasie:
he was called "the holy R
abbi", because he never masturbated!]

The lack of self-acceptance concerning masturbation
leads to lovelessness towards Tamar...
If Onan would have been whole with his wish
to have his own children and share it with Tamar,
they might have come up with a solution together.

"But Onan knew that the seed would not be his,
so it was, whenever he came in to his brother's wife,
he let it go to ruin on the ground,
so as not to provide seed for his brother.
What he did was ill in the eyes of YHWH,
and he caused him to die as well.

"Now Yehuda said to Tamar his daughter-in-law:
Sit as a widow in your father's house
until Shela my son has grown up.

"For he said to himself;
Otherwise he will die as well, like his brothers!
So Tamar went and stayed in her father's house.
and many days passed."

Note of Fox: It was a well-known practice in biblical times that if a man died without leaving an heir, it was the obligation of his nearest of kin (usually his brother) to marry the widow and sire a son - who would then bear the name of the deceased man (Dt 25:5-10). Onan dies because he does not fulfill his legal obligation to continue his brother's line. The later interpretation, that his crime was masturbation ("onanism"), has no basis in the text..

Since the author of Megilat Rut shapes his novel according to "Megilat"-Tamar,
Rut , too, is a widow and is eventually "redeemed" and married by a relative: Boaz

see Canaanism

Shua's daughter, [Bat-Shua]
Yehuda's wife,
died.

[it is important to mention the "Bat" here,
because , as I proved,
Bat-shua is meant to associate Bat-Sheva,
and in Natan's parable for David, the adulterer, the poor man [i.e. Uriyya]
cradles his lamb [wife] in his arms
like a "bat", a daughter.
see The Bible of Feelings]

When Yehuda had been comforted,
he went up to his sheep-shearers,
he and his friend Hira the Adullamite,
to Timna.

Tamar was told, saying:
Here, your father-in-law is going up to Timna
to shear his sheep.

She removed her widow's garments from her,
covered herself with a veil
and wrapped herself,
and sat down by the entrance
to Enayim/Two-Wells,
which is on the way to Timna,

for she saw that Shela had grown up,
yet she had not been given to him as a wife.
