The
Purpose of HEALING - K.I.S.S.
- as stated 12 years ago - was and is
to help me and my potential P E E R s
"to HEAL ourselves into WHOLEness,
and - by extension - all of CREATion!" |
|
I focus my experiencing and awareness on being
"a pioneer of Evolution
in learning to feel":
I let my Body vibrate and my Heart 'womb'
pain, shame, fear, boredom, powerlessness,
so feelings can >heal >guide>fulfill>evolve,
and ~~~ offer ~~~"goldmines"~~~ to us all!!
"I
want you to feel everything, every little thing!"

The FOCUS of MY INTENTION
TODAY
Know exactly what you want, communicate clearly what you want,
then get out of the way, live and play, and let happen what
may
I don't exist to realize my desires, rather my desires exist
to give me reason for creative action and pretext for loving
interaction!
7:35
I desire the 2 birthday starchildren
to not break but grow in their self-chosen prisons for
2 months
I desire Lior Cohen to fulfill her task in her new class, and
her mother to relax towards me.
I desire to be again able to eat food without pains [one
of 2 surviving original teeth is rotting with caries]
I desire to enjoy the jumping
between the last days & the not yet completed pages from
Aug. 18.
|
Lior
Oren, Dead Sea, Water
and Mirror, but also sink and toilet,
re-dressing for the army, "who
am I supposed to be and to become?"
|
Renin
Bolus, "about myself in 5 words: Arab
princess,successful marketing manager"
hodayot [thanksgivings] for today
8:43
My Body,
my Partner,
my God
I give thanks to the survivors among our teeth,
and to the human experts, who constructed an esthetic dentition
around them
I am grate-full for my potential "peers", Renin
Bolus (Arab) & Lior Oren (Jewish),
and for their immense resilience of suffering in a world to
which they do not belong.
I'm grate-full for the brilliant little morning scene with
Lior Cohen & mother Meital,
"staged" to reach 3 targets, to free Meital from
her horrid defensiveness towards me,
to free me from my fear of having driven her into this defensiveness
by my "message",
to help Lior to meet her challenge of winning over the kids
of her class to play with her.
[after we had parted in tension in front of their door: "We're
late, have to run",
I hear their car in front of my gate: "Rachel,
do you have a little pomegranate?
Amit is asked to bring one to the kindergarden!"
I'd guarded a tiny one of last year!

The Arrival of The Tears of the Ancestors
[see on K.is.s.-Log: Sept.1,
Sept. 5 , Sept.10
]
"The main news that I want to share in this letter is
that the discounted copes of “Tears
of the Ancestors” by Daan Van Kampenhout
have indeed arrived -- some time ago.
...The book was published for the psychotherapist “niche”
market,
rather than as a “trade” book for a popular audience.
Looking back, the publisher agrees with me
that this should have been made a "trade" book, but
it wasn't. ...
"Now I can talk about Daan's book from the position of
having already read the book.
... Daan is someone with a special contribution
to make to our understanding of healing
and wholeness on the level of the
soul. Especially, the perspective he supplies
on including
our ancestors in the process –
since in the world of the soul there is no time,
and we are very much connected to the experience
of those who have gone before us.
Rather than framing things in terms of reincarnation
and our remembering past lives~~~
this approach addresses those who have gone before us,
with whom we are intimately linked, more as our benefactors.
It is from our ancestors
that we have inherited our liabilities as well as our strengths.
Our healing thus has implications going back generations.
"Daan draws from Native American
teaching in speaking of four levels of the soul:
we begin with the family (symbolically in the
East)
and then (in the South) we go on to the tribal
(I would say that what Daan means
by “tribal” is the “collective” of some
sort –
it could [be] ethnic, national, ideological or religious~~~
so that in the case of Jewish tradition it’s a very potent
combination).
Then (in the West) we
develop the individual,
integrating our experience in our own unique way
(as in the Olam
Qatan saying, “everyone is a microcosm”)
which paves the way for going on to the
universal (in the north).
People don’t have to do it in this order, but it usually
goes that way.
"Of course, traditional psychotherapy has given a lot of
attention to family history.
Our modern world tends to emphasize the individual as a center
of integration
(or at the very least as a consumer).
“Spiritual teaching” of all kinds point us from
there towards the universal.
Where then does the tribal fit in?
Many of us grew up in Jewish environments
which may have been nourishing and/or crazy-making,
but where a grasp of the divine Oneness underlying everything
was sorely lacking.
So now we are exploring various ways of going into the Divine
– whether we relate that to a Jewish framework, or not.
What Daan has discovered in working with people in the modern
world, is
that it is davka the tribal level
which is often suppressed or overlooked.
Thus he finds that the new fundamentalism of the Muslim and
Jewish worlds
is an understandable phenomenon, if a regrettable one.
What he doesn't say, but is implied [yes,
he does say it explicitly on page ?]
-- he himself is an example of someone
who has been moved on his journey
to embrace a Jewish dimension of his soul,
while remaining open to broader perspectives.
The focus of much of this book is specifically
healing the holocaust.
Daan finds that for Germans who are descended from Nazis,
as well as for Jews descended from Jews,
there is a need to link up with healthy ancestors
who may be further back in the past, behind the damaged ones.
He talks about getting the support of the ancestors in healing
black and white South Africa,
Protestant and Catholic Ireland,
the Spanish Civil War,
Gypsy lineage,
family confrontations between Catholics and Communists~~~
there are all kinds of ancestors and heritages out there
that are in need of redeeming.
In the case of "lost" Jewish
souls
who may be beyond the reach of particular ancestors~~~
he has found that our Mother Sara is available as a truly maternal
refuge.
In the case of Germans and other middle Europeans,
he finds the need to redeem the Pantheon of the Germanic and
Nordic gods
from the narrow way in which the Nazis exploited and limited
them,
focussing only on their agressive qualities.
Daan’s approach is more anecdotal
than theoretical.
Until close to the end of the book he doesn’t go in for
much of a philosophy,
but relates his insights to specific examples of work
he’s done in the fields of shamanism
and family constellations,
and his own explorations in the field.
He talks about what he sees and feels
when he visits old cemeteries, and concentration camps, and
holocaust memorials.
He remarks again and again
that the victims are remembered,
but the perpetrators are suspiciously absent!
I was particularly amused by his account
of going to Prague
and observing that there’s no way
that the Golem could still be hidden away
(as the legend says) in the small attic of the Altneushul of
the Maharal of Prague.
He speculates that the Golem got carried off to Israel
with holocaust survivors after World War II~~~
and that this might account for Israel’s astounding strength
against overwhelming odds in our early struggles,
but also for our sometimes clumsy ways of employing our new-found
power!
It is in that same chapter, on page 154,
that Daan fleshes out his understanding of the journey of the
soul
through the four points of the compass.
I'll quote this part in Daan's own words:
East, south, west and north form a cycle
of
beginning, doing, rounding up and peaceful emptiness~~~
The layers themselves stay intact and keep their characteristics,
but as we walk over the wheel we can pass through them.
It has started to dawn on me that the fact
that the four levels of soul are always there,
means we cannot truly transform them.
We cannot “leave them behind” or “go beyond.”
We cannot ignore one of them and simply skip over it
on our journey around the circle.
Neither can we escape by identifying with just one of them,
and pretending that the rest don’t exist anymore~~~
We cannot escape the influence of
the tribal soul;
we must learn to participate in it in a responsible way,
balancing its negative qualities
by consciously accessing the other soul layers as well.
We must balance all the four different soul layers~~~
and we must learn how to move from one to the next,
so we will not get stuck somewhere.
There is no end-point in this process,
only continuous learning and change.
A s a person who has found a spiritual
home in Sufism
– but who could not give up being Jewish,
any more than I could give up my being male
– it comes as a great relief to see Daan laying out this
sort of a map.
It points beyond striving to be purely universal,
or purely Jewish, or Muslim, or anything else~~~
I am reminded of an old translation of a line by the Chinese
sage, Lao Tsu:
“The test if a man be sane, is if
he can accept his life whole, as it is.”
Maybe that’s a messy process, maybe
it’s difficult~~~
but anything else looks impossible to me, and not even worth
trying!
..... I'm glad to be back in touch with all of you.
With love,
Ya’qub ibn Yusuf

As to this emphasis on the "Tribe":
I
just read again, what Efrat had said,
when she wanted me to offer her a biblical quote for what would be
my birthday quilt
".....But Efrat wasn't content:
"I should have made it clearer to you:
I meant your vision concerning
your tribe..."
And that's how it happened,
that my feet are now covered
by my most ardent desire concerning Heaven-on-Earth
Then those who see Ha-Shem, will talk among each other,
and he listens and he hears

Song
of the Day for Big Lior and Small Lior
Bruised
reed and dark wick
On a
human "he does not yell,
not raise his voice",
so how will "your servant"
"bring forth" to him "his
rightness"?
Make it possible for him to learn and don't teach him!
Every wave knows instinctively who's its ocean.
Help him to
discharge his pain and his fear,
ask for "his offering from
the fruit of his land".
Like Kayin does he yearn
to know his own worth -
create a chance for him to learn about his power.
Then will
stand up "the bruised reed"
and will live;
then again will shine "the
dark wick"!
Also "my servant will not
darken" ,
if "he has regard for the
offering"!
If "you have regard for Kayin"
"you too will not
be bruised".
1984 - based on Genesis 4, 2-5 and Isaiah 42, 1-4

Tova discerned the photographer...
What a symbolic scene : the
Quartet walking out the gate together into the night.
They didn't know that I followed them.
But before I managed to take a closer picture, their orderly row dismantled
into a funny formation
Someone else who decided it was time to go to
sleep was Mika.
She simply took a cushion from one of the wooden seats and lay herself
down on the floor, next to the lawn.
Elah was the first to notice it!

[I hope, that later I'll receive some scenes from the movie for
Hagar & Rafi.
Immanuel and Gid'on had worked on it for 3 weeks (first
mentioned on August 20)
This morning, while still in the pool, I
heard the ringtone of my cellphone.
I jumped out, grasped the phone from my backpack, "a call not
answered".
I called back: it was Hagar, who wanted to thank me for my presence
at the wedding and for my gift.
She also shared with me, that on this Thursday they'll fly to Crete
for a honeymoon-weekend,
When she asked me, if I enjoyed the wedding, I said:
"I have the priviledge of having
enjoyed it 4 times:
- I was totally and wholly present with all my heart
- I payed more attention to lovely people and scenes by photographing
them
- I had a deeper look at these scenes and people when I edited the
pictures
- I took all the experiences and lovely people into my heart, by sculpturing
compositions for my website!"
I want to close the sculpture of this wonderful family - event
(there might be no other until
Arnon's Bar-Mitzvah in June 2009)
with some images of the MOON, which became full a few days after Hagar's
& Rafi's wedding.
It was once called "the Harvest Moon",
Spaceweather.com:
"It's the full Moon closest to the northern autumnal equinox.
In years past, farmers depended on the light of the Harvest Moon to
gather ripening crops late into the night.
Post-Edison, we appreciate it mainly for its beauty.
Be alert in the nights ahead for Harvest Moon halos and coronas!"

some fog rolled in over my observing site from the Atlantic.
With the Moon almost full and at around 30° altitude
the conditions were just right to produce a 'Moonbow'

It's the first time I've seen one
