{It
was only on Febr. 7, 2012, that I discovered, that the tune is by Yehuda Sharet (Shertok) (1901-1979), and learnt the fascinating story about how this famous family - his elder brother was Moshe Sharet, the second Primeminister of Israel immigrated and at first settled in Ein Siniya! I also discovered a video, how Sharet taught his daughter and granddaughter another song of Rachel} |

Another song by Rachel, the poetess: The book of Job is open before me
An even more famous song by Rachel:
in K.i.s.s.-Log 2008, May 5
in which it is the voice weeping for her lover which is in her blood....

On February 11, 2011- I added a stanza, which had created itself during some weeks, and recorded my own singing of the entire song: See the allusion to a biblical verse and famous song On November 19, 2013 this stanza changed: |

"For it is Ya'acov, whom Yah chose"
[Psalm 135:4+6 and Haggai 2:6-7]
for Ya'acov
For
it is Ya'acov, whom Yah chose, Israel as his own treasure. All that YHWH is desiring, he has been doing, In the Heaven and on the Earth- In the oceans and all abysses |

- as to "all that YHWH is desiring, he has been doing", there is an even stronger phrasing in Isaiah 46:10 - see the song further down, on July 1, 2011 |
ANI
MAR'ISH~~~ I SHAKE ~~~ANI MAR'ISH For thus saith the LORD of hosts: Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dryness; and I will shake all nations Haggai 2:6-7 and a second time in Haggai 2:21 'Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying: I will shake the heavens and the earth; This translation does not satisfy me like Martin Buber's : Noch auf eins, es ist um ein weniges nur, erschuettre ich den Himmel und die Erde und das Meer und das Trockne, erschuettre alle Weltstaemme ich. |
Chosen for the transition from 2011_12_31 to 2012_01_01 On February 6-14, 2012 an English stanza added itself, which puts in a nutshell what I know to be true about the purpose of Creation and about the conditions for living up to this purpose. [my singing of this part will appear on the new Hebrew website shemshem.org "shamayim-bli-shi'amum'] [2012-12-31, shemshem will not manifest, nor the singing of the 2 English stanzas. |

My beloved responded, and said to
me: 'Rise up, my love, my fair one, and go-to-yourself!' For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; The buds appear on the earth; The time of the nightingale has come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land; The fig-tree putteth forth her unripe fruits, the vines in blossom give forth their fragrance. 'Rise up, my love, my fair one, and go-to-yourself!' Songs of Songs 2:10-13 |

Get up , my love, and go to yourself...and become a blessing
for all families of the earth
Modification of one line - in April 2012, when I hoped that co-creation would happen in my life: "u-lekhi lakh~~ mi-litzor be-atzmekh raq le-atzmekh, and go... from creating yourself just for yourself" Translation of my adaptation [my lyrics] 'Rise up, my love, my fair one, and go-to-yourself!' [female to a lover] go to yourself, yourself, go to yourself! 'Go to yourself, [male to Abraham] from your country, and from your homeland,' go to yourself, to yourself '....and be a blessing....' and in you shall be blessed all the families of the earth ' [Yizhar's chorus] In a parallel world, there we love always in the distance of a touch from here, in the distance of a touch. In a parallel world, there the heart is never ordinary, in the distance of a touch from here, in the distance of a touch from here. |

The last song on this page is not a love-song.
I associated this verse to the line about "God's Desire" in the
song about "Ya'acov" above.
In time this verse, too, became a song
Later another verse - from a book which I'm quite unfamiliar
with : Nehemiah - added itself and together with both : a tune.
Declaring
the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done; saying: 'My counsel shall stand, and all My pleasure/desire will I do' Isaiah 46:10 [with 3 changes on my part ] 'Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto him for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy unto our Lord; and don't be sad for the joy of the LORD is your strength Nehemiah 8:10 Strength and joy are in His place |
See above 2010_11_04 together with 2011_06_23 What I learn from "God's" JOY is that he follows his desire and that he does what pleases him! der von der Fruehe her anmeldet die Spaete, von einst, was nicht getan ward sagt mein Ratschluss bleibt aufrecht, all mein Begehren, ich tus! |
Today "khefetz" means "thing,
object" (following perhaps the famous: "there
is a time to every thing under heaven"
of Qohelet, see SongGame)
But another and perhaps the original meaning was "Desire".
The word appears 128 times in the Bible, as I checked already on Sept. 9,
2010 (see my Word-document in 2011: Info about themes relevant to me).
I hope there will be "a time" for exploring "khefetz"...
On August 6, 2011 , I came across a Chassidic story,
which stresses that JOY is a commandment according to the verse:
This
poetic word for "joy" : "khaedvah" appears only 3 times ~~~in the youngest books of the Hebrew Bible, Since one of these times I find it in the Aramaic part of Ezra 6:16, I assume that it is an Aramaic word |
This page is overstepping the limits of 1300 kbs!
I ponder if to insert the last song somewhere else.
but following the recent addition: "ani mar'ish",
I feel, that the message implied in this page's songs
suits the MOMENT
between the last day of 2011 and the first day of 2012
