Singing&Sounding keeps me Sound
I called this page "Problematic Songs",
but now, in November 2011, there is a song,
which is most relevant for our time,
both in content and in the way it was created and sung around the World.
See part of the composition, which I sculpted on November
4, 2011, "by chance" a most significant date in my life,
and listen to the song, as I arranged it - with incredible effort - so it
can be sung a-cappella by everyone
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mdu71FSKJvI&feature=youtu.be Listen also to ~~~ and dance with the Israeli song: "Welcome Peace" "all the names, all the faces, all the states, all the neighbors" I look at the intensity of pain in this singer's face, which is interspersed in the 4,5 minutes video often , but at the end the face of his guitarist [next page] is like the sun bursting through the clouds. |
CHORUSES: VERSES

Back to "Problematic Songs", which also includes the seemingly !!!similar "Imagine" by John Lennon.

Not only Christian
Hymns are no longer part of my active repertoire. There are some beautiful songs, both in Hebrew and in English, which I can no longer sing, since I cannot identify with their lyrics |
"Praised be the match that burns while
kindling flames"
|
"Jerusalem of Gold"
It is called the second national anthem
of Israel. Among other
clips it's there

"All
the world is a very small bridge, and the main thing is - not to be afraid at all", This sentence (song?) of Rabbi Nachman of Breszlav is very popular even among secular Israelis. I believe ~~~~I know ~~~ that this world is not a bridge, but the place and space, on which we have to create "Heaven on Earth". And the "encouragement" "not to be afraid at all" is so often a way of denying fear and feelings altogether. What we have to learn is how to cope with fear, and how to turn the fearful into the fruitful. |
In my youth I was very fond of negro spirituals, but the pain of victimhood is felt even in the song "before I'd be a slave". There was comfort in those songs, and not only for the physical slaves in America, but now we need the spirit of self-determination. We are in the process of learning to be masters of our lives. |
Imagine~~~Imagine~~~Imagine

inserted on June 6, 2007-together with the performance of Achinoam Nini in
Rome, a year after 9/11, in 2002]
Of course, I've nothing against dreaming
about peace,
Even the Presidential Candidate for the USA,
Dennis Kucinich, .
