A "sculpture" |
It may have been the last time, that Yael and Itamar were brought from Modi'in to Mazkeret Batya, to spend "Grandma-Day" with Arnon and Ayelet in the basement of their new house |
Itamar's dream of watching the moon through a professional telescope, dreamt during the half-hour drive between his and his cousins' house, became a reality on Pesach - during holiday with grandma in the desert. "For only in the desert will you enjoy your telescope, once you get it!" "Yes", said Yael, "when we were in "Succah in the Desert" we saw a million stars!" |
Yael's photo of our holiday in "Succah
in the Desert" - with her, her sister Rotem, and with Arnon, in August
2003
Ayelet: "Grandma! take a photo of my creation!" Up to this day - 2007_06_16- this is the only creation that this "loom-board" was granted |
Ayelet had an idea,
[It was Immanuel, who later liked this
scene so much, |
When we reached the empty field - lo!
a miracle!

Inserting a third image of the same situation is worthwhile, since it shows a rare scene: Arnon, who usually has to be reminded, not to do all the work alone, is here the only one, who doesn't work... |

2009_07_20 I follow my understanding and new lekh-lekhâ on January 1, 2009, that - after 7 years - I should no longer create new pages on my 2 websites, but intermingle the evidence of new experiences with that on existing pages. Here I'm inserting a series about another Grandma-Day with the Quartet which took place in a cave at Bet-Nehemya on Shabbat, July 19, 2009, while Immanuel flew to Bangkok, and Efrat and Mika traveled to Acco, to Efrat's parents. |

This is the first and the last time, that I take the
Four from Bet-Nehemya beyond its water-tower to
the
Immanuel-Cave
Itamar took my camera already at the age of 5. Yet he never was interested to see the photos on my website. I'm re-reading this on January 15, 2011, exactly after I opened an e-mail, in which Itamar tells me, that they succeeded in exchanging the camera, which he and I had bought for his Bar-Mitzva, but which was not what he needed. When his photography teacher told him so, his mother had to take that camera from Shoham, where I kept it, until I would turn it into a "proper" gift for his Bar-Mitzva. |

Hanging
up our hats and backpacks was a way to make the cave our home... "This is your third cave and the biggest one - so far", said Arnon. "So far?" I laughed and remembered, how only 3 days before, when I re-edited Nebo-Let-Go, I had been reminded of the talk with my sister Ursel in 1983 about my inner urge to follow Abraham's footsteps: "But where should I live? In a cave?" "Why not live in a caravan, this is becoming quite popular in the world". That's how I grew towards a mobile home, though not in a caravan, which was not available in Israel at that time, but in an old army-bus... It was only 20 years later, that I did live in "Noah's Cave" for 150 days, and two more years, when I prepared "The Cave of the Womb" for the future.... [see this cave on 2011_01_01!] |
While we were eating fruits and drinking water, the Four fantasized about this cave: how to provide it with solar energy and rain water, how to divide the space into different rooms, how to attach curtains to the 3 entries, but what to do with the hole in the "ceiling"? The solution to this came up only later. For the time being we watched the opening and a strange trunk across it, and underneath a pretty, intricate spider-web, which sparkled in the sun around its artist, the spider. Itamar tried his best, to get some shots with my camera : [From now on - January 15, 2011 - he'll enjoy his own camera] |
