"See the fantastic texture of the trunk of this
tree and the way it winds itself out of the earth!"

While we crossed my little "Wadi of
Compassion", which I pass through twice every day when walking to the
pool,
I saw a herd of sheep with a Bedouin shepherdess ~ forming a triangle ~ with
the ugly, unnecessarily broad road.
Walking along my narrow "Wadi of Compassion"

Sometimes two or three or all kids want
to say a blessing together. And this is how they consult with each other.
Blessing over food has been a long tradition on Grandma-Days.
We bless specific ingredients in the food
and specific processes that resulted in a certain kind of food,
beginning with Sun, Water and the bacteria in the soil, for instance,
and ending with the truck-driver providing food to the Super-market.
We also ask forgiveness from animals,
which are forced to produce more milk and eggs etc. than is enjoyable for
them,
and - as the Blessing of Itamar
in January demonstrates
- even from a maple-tree which is wounded in order to give it's juice away.
The rewards of this ritual of blessing are enormous:
the kids became immensely aware of their dependency on everything else and
everybody else on our planet.

Continuation of Day in a Cave and the Founding of the "Architectia-Band" 2009_07_20 I follow my understanding and new lekh-lekhâ on January 1, 2009, that - after 7 years - I should no longer create new pages on my 2 websites, but intermingle the evidence of new experiences with that on existing pages. Here I'm inserting a series about another Grandma-Day with the Quartet which took place at Bet-Nehemya on Shabbat, July 18, 2009, while Immanuel flew to Bangkok, and Efrat and Mika traveled to Acco, to Efrat's parents. |

When Arnon built a "rujum" of stones, I suggested,
that they all should ornament it with the melon husks
and even then they are not done with their creativity:
They discerned a little niche in the rock and aimed little stones into it
