Three play, one works
He has an idea for a wind-shield! But will the planks really stand? |
"Shouldn't you have chosen a spot, where
the soil is softer?" The water now reflects impressing clouds... |
"And he saw that it was good"
While
boys work, girls play... |
Now the disharmony between burning flame and winter wind has to be solved |
Now that the work is done and the candle-wick burns, |
from
different perspectives |
on
a changing background |
while
the sky above coalesces with the water below |

2009_07_18 Continuation of Day in a Cave and the Founding of the "Architectia-Band" 2009_07_20 I follow my understanding and new lekh-lekhâ on January 1, 2009, that - after 7 years - I should no longer create new pages on my 2 websites, but intermingle the evidence of new experiences with that on existing pages. Here I'm inserting a series about another Grandma-Day with the Quartet which took place at Bet-Nehemya on Shabbat, July 19, 2009, while Immanuel flew to Bangkok, and Efrat and Mika traveled to Acco, to Efrat's parents. |

How fascinating - the intricacies of Nature's composition
in the opening above the Immanuel-Cave
Then, when the excitement about the Cave relaxed a bit,
I had them sit around me and asked:
"I want each one of you to share with us,
what is most important for you at present,
and what is it you most want for the following (school) year."
Ayelet couldn't find anything in her present holiday life, which was important
for her,
but many things in the future.
Itamar also has several plans for the next school-year,
but at present - not even really touched by his summer-camp ("they
are repeating themselves"...)-
is only interested in a Star-War -lego game, which he
hasn't even got yet.
In fact, he put an envelope on his uncle Immanuel's desk with the description
of the game and money,
asking him to buy it in a shop and not via Internet
("he'll have to wait,
until I get to New-York", said my son, just
back from Bangkok)
Arnon, of course, is totally immersed in the preparations for the family's
caravan-journey in the USA,
which his parents are giving him as a gift in honor of his Bar-Mitzva birthday
(June 12, 2009) .
The night before (I had been invited to
spend Shabbat-Eve with the family) he had shown
me for hours
what he had been learning for months about the places of the planned journey
( while during the same months going on a hike with his father once a week,
in order to train for a twosome strenuous climb in Josemite-Park
).
Yael was the one, who moved me deeply:
"I just want to enjoy my holiday without
any pressure of time and achievement!"
When I looked at her utterly surprised,
that the non-existence of something - i.e. pressure -
was what she found most important in her young life,
she said:
"I don't say, that there are not moments
of boredom for everyone during the holidays,
but for me it's not a problem to do things I like to do.
It's important that I can do them without any pressure."
The next morning, I hitchhiked with a driver who said:
"It's for 10 years now, that I feel satisfaction
and status in my job
(as being responsible for the logistics in an electronic company),
and also that I can perform my job without pressure.
Before that I left satisfactory jobs because of the pressure connected with
them."
It's either boredom, lack of intensity, which bothers people, or pressure.
But while Ayelet copes with the first, Yael, 2 years older than her, copes
with the latter...
A millipede [Hebrew: rav-raglayim or marbae-raglayim] on the walls of the cave? I studied them well with Mika in spring 2008 Now Itamar follows the animal's movements for a while |
|
And as last picture on this page - directly under the
millipede - "Grandma in her biggest cave so far"!....
