Though I no longer believe in help from the political top at this stage of the realization of "Noah's Shore",
and the presentation of the vision , therefore, needs to be modified in this respect,
it might be helpful to read this first version, until the present Hebrew presentation will be available both in Arabic and in English.

NOAH'S SHORE VISION
[Counterpart to "Noah's Ark Vision"]
On the surface Noah's Vision deals with
two projects at the Dead Sea,
"Noah's Ark" and "Noah's Shore".
For the time being I'm going to share only the plan and process of "Noah's
Shore".
Originally Present and Presentation

Peres celebrated his 80th birthday on the day on which I celebrated my 65th
(August 15).
I've been wooing Peres for 27 years, ever since our 20 min. encounter in Oct.
1976 concerning my "Bir'am
Model".
This document was delivered to him by his beloved famous Israeli singer ,
Achinoam Nini, together with a detailed,
illustrated letter in Hebrew.

Location
"Noah's Shore" will be erected at the Dead
Sea between the 1967 borders of P/I,
north of Ein-Gedi in a no-man's-land of about 700 m from border to border,
between the sea-road far above
and a small peninsula which recently emerged from the sinking sea.

Three Purposes
(1)
"Noah's Shore" will be the prototype of many small hosting-healing
enterprises
which will soon emerge along the shores of the Dead Sea and the Jordan River
and in which the stay of people who come for healing,
will be financed by the stay of people who come for recreation.
At present the first healing guests
will be war-and terror stricken people from both sides.

"Noah's Shore" will be a model and laboratory for the R&D of
a technology,
which will allow Man to benefit from the Dead Sea/Jordan River resources,
without destroying them.
The resources are – on the physical level -
the unique Dead Sea qualities of water, air, sunlight and mud
(see studies of "Eco-Peace" and "Friends of the Earth")
and the general Desert qualities of SPS, or Space-Purity-Silence,
a demand of 2-5% of potential tourists in the crowded-polluted-noisy cities.

The technology o f, for instance, solar electricity,
has not really developed since the seventies.
Nor has the ancient technology of collecting rain-water been reinvented.
The R&D of an ecological technology-economy,
which will preserve what it wants to sell,
is a planetary challenge, which - if taken up by P/I - will benefit not only
the P/I,
but the world at large.

"Noah's Shore" will demonstrate a practical way
of approaching one of the core issues between P/I- the borders:
It will make P feel and understand,
that at least one of the 1967 borders is recognized and how it is viable;
and it will make a start in realizing what is now - for instance - the German-French
reality,
that the road from Ein-Gedi to Jerusalem may pass through P,
and still be safe and convenient,
yes that Mitzpe-Shalem and Kalia may flourish as Jewish communities within
P .
Mohammed, who came from Beersheva to heal
his knees in "Noah's" hot sulfur springs,
marks the electricity pole above the peninsula to indicate its location within
the borders.
Physical Structures
This model between the borders
will contain four compositions of temporary, but climate-compatible structures:
1) On the peninsula a pool, covered by palm-leaves,
fed by cisterns to be constructed higher up in the mountains,
will be surrounded by 6 double pyramidal tents
(R&D 1992-98, 4th generation optimal structure).
This will be the space for 6 pairs of healing guests
[mother-daughter, father-son, brothers, sisters, couples].
2) Hidden in the earth of the steep slope, their fronts open to the sea,
will be 6 adobe or stone cave-like cabins.
This will be the space for 6 to 12 recreational guests .
3) Between those two - east or west of the present army dust-road –
a crescent-shaped prolonged, breezy, veranda surrounded "Succah"
–
will contain kitchen, eating space, storage space,
and also rooms for 3 healer/hosts and a study for scientists.
Note: I've not yet solved the problem of the location of nature-compatible toilets and showers.

which composed a model of a mobile hosting enterprise in the Desert
or "Pyramidion" (English term),
"Rihla" (Arabic term),
"Ohalah" (Hebrew term)

whatsoever …)
4) Above the slope, some 100 m north,
on the road side where rock sculptures indicate the P border,
a "tent-palace" will receive relevant (!) visitors for a cup of
tea
and guided, inspiring conversation towards the realization of the vision.
This gorgeous
space, erected between my formerly mobile homes,
a solar-powered old army bus and caravan-minibus,
existed for three month in 1999, in Ein-Gedi Field School
and - some money provided - could be reestablished as Noah's Shore PR space.
5) A simple funicular, called "lightmobile"
(Hebrew: "Orno'a": R&D project started at Metzuqe-Dragot 1998),
powered directly by converted sun-light (i.e. not stored in batteries),
will bring people (also those in wheelchairs) from the road to the hosting-spaces.
Moreover, it will connect Noah's Shore
with the pristine hot sulphur-springs about 400 m north.
These are in urgent need to become both –
freely available to the healing public
and carefully protected from the healing public!!!!
"Noah's Shore" would serve as the springs' "Guardian"....
When I first discovered the peninsula on Sept
2, it was like a sign from Heaven,
that I met a Bedouin couple from Beersheva who came to heal their knees.
They made me discover these new springs.
Overall principle for developing the Dead Sea-Jordan River region:
Following our gut-desire to leave pristine sites untouched will only result
in the take-over of people whose gut-desire is to make short term profits.
"The World goes to pieces not because of the strength of the wicked
but because of the weakness of the good!" (Attributed to Napoleon)
Nor will laws and fences and counters do.
For a fenced-in, to-be-paid-for site is no longer "pristine".
A SITUATION must be created in such a way,
that people will - subconsciously - avoid destroying what they want to enjoy.
(Ask for a Succah-in-the-Desert example)
Now, on Oct. 18, when I started to make tiny trails
to and from the center of the future pool (indicated by an old trunk and my
stuff)
so as to limit the destruction of the fragile soil from my own steps,
I discovered a strong and not too hot sulphur-spring
right where the peninsula protrudes from the northern shore.
After I had cleaned it from driftwood, I entered the spring:
It seemed to be bottomless and dangerous!
I threw about 200 big and medium stones in it,
and a beautiful pool to play and heal in – emerged…
Functioning and Financing
Both the healing and recreational guests will stay for at
least a week.
There will be always three hosts/healers present by day and by night.
Scientists and volunteers will not stay overnight there.
It would be great if the "HaMakom" community, now
dwelling in Metzoqe-Dragot,
would erect their space somewhere in that no-mans-land and provide the hosts.
Any future "Noah's Shore" type of a healing-hosting
enterprise
will be an economicly viable business,
provided it is part of a net-work of at least 12 such hosting enterprises.
(Like KOA in the US -
http://www.koakampgrounds.com).
But the first model - between the P/I borders –
will be a lab or beta-site of a scientific institute.
It has to demonstrate economic viability, and - in time - return the investment.
How this can be done, needs a treatise about detailed rules of operation.
Today only this:
The team of hosts-healers will define their own - minimal - salary.
A Noah's-Shore type business
gives ample reward in satisfaction and enough money to live on.
It is not destined to produce profit.
Any profite will go to a fund for helping potential guests
to come to a Noah's Shore healing-hosting Space.
The investment for this first model
should not come from any private person or fund.
Because of the political implications of the location
and the purpose of this model
the money must be provided by a neutral government,
preferably Germany.
Steps towards Realization
This presentation for Shimon Peres together with
an illustrated letter to him in Hebrew
was printed out by the singer Achinoam Nini, endorsed by a personal letter
from her
and delivered by her - via courier - to Peres' office on September 29, 2003.
Since until today, 2003_10_20, there has been no response,
I may have to change my strategy:
I believed, that in order to get permission to even park that
caravan there,
the very first step to follow was to reach the highest political authority,
even without more work on the details of the vision.
I thought, the aim was not "to get permission".
The aim should be "to win over as partners",
first the intermediary - i.e. Shimon Peres
then "the" authority which potentially or actually deals with the
future P/I borders,
and then - probably with the help of an international agency -
the P/I governments.
I do not want to fall into the trap of demands like :
"Deliver a building plan or a plan of financial feasibility".
My credentials are my past personal achievements and experiences,
• my lifelong work for bringing about the conditions
(common interest, mutual trust, equality in self-respect),
which will turn the negative dependency between P/I
into a positive dependency, i.e. partnership.
• having realized 2 models of a "Vision of Desert
Economy" (1988-1999)
• having lived a mobile life in Nature, mainly in the desert (1985-2001)
• having lived above the Dead Sea on both sides of the border (1998-99)
• and alone at its shore under a two-dimensional tent (March-June 2000)

came to visit me in my 2 dimensional tent
2003_10_20 Dear Shimon Peres,
I requested that you study and adopt this vision and project.
I expected that you would see its beneficial potential,
but also the political obstacles of realizing it.
I hoped you would know which authority has to be won over
and how.
I assume, there is, for instance, a joint P/I committee,
which deals with future borders.
I imagined, that with that committee's understanding and help,
a neutral government like Germany would be involved,
it would promise to provide whatever money will be needed.
and the Israeli army and government would tell me: go ahead!
The 4 first practical steps then would be:
- to station those mobile homes at that border, and start to work;
- to gather a team which would work out detailed plans
- for "building" (a misleading word, since nothing permanent will
be constructed),
- for the ecological/economic and legal way of functioning
- for financing the investion, the R&D and the daily operation;
- to compose a balanced work-force of technicians and volunteers;
- to invite scientists to come out with solutions to specific
problems.
Then we would start to prepare the ground of the peninsula
excavate the pool, the caves for cabins, and the cisterns for rain,
sow the tents, build the adobe cabins, establish the solar system etc.
I'll gather a team which would work out detailed plans etc.
All the legalities and financing would follow the practical work.
CLOSURE
I'll repeat the purposes in different wording:
Noah's Shore will provide a healing space
for those who suffer most on both sides.
Noah's Shore will be a viable model for those,
who crave to base a tourist economy
on the Dead Sea healing qualities .
Noah's Shore will demonstrate,
how these aspirations can be integrated
with the concern for the presently "dying" Dead Sea.
The envisioned location of an R&D model
of a nature-preserving hosting-healing enterprise will demonstrate,
how a border between Israel and Palestine can provide security
and become a juncture of creativity-development-encounter.
I want to close with a little story:
Arnon (the biggest river which enters the Dead Sea on the Jordanian shore
and where there should be a twin of Noah's Shore right from the beginning!)
is also the name of one of my 9 grandchildren.
He is seven and a little genius in engineering.
I showed him the model of "Noah's Shore" I had made
and asked if he could improve on my light-mobile model.
After having watched my photos of the site on my computer,
He made a sketch of the path of the light-mobile and a simpler, better model.
While doing so, he gave a closer look to the composition of
the model site and said:
"The six tents create a Star-of-David, don't they?"
"Yes", I said, "and I'm not happy about it,
the Palestinians who'll come to heal, will not like it at all."
"I have an idea", Arnon said,
And he simply opened the circle of the 6 tents towards the Sea...

Until
3 weeks ago I followed the strategy of going right to the political top.
Well, this strategy failed again, and I'm back on my right track,
which is -
to create situations,
which arouse people
to develop self-respect and self-determination.
Also :
It occurred to me,
that the "War-and Terror Stricken People from Both Sides" need to
be
- at first -
CHILDREN ...
and that the pond amidst the six tents
has to be a replica of the pond of ashes in Auschwitz-Birkenau

On November 29, 1947, the United Nations declared,
that the Jews had a right to their own State
Israel.
But AUschwitz-BirkenAU reinforced the already imprinted victimhood,
and except for the most sophisticated military force with which to hit "the
enemy",
the immense creational powers of self-determination of the early Zionists
are lost.
Tomorrow I'll descend to Noah's Shore
and start to be "clear, strengthening and inspiring" (Adina's blessing
for me),
towards effective self-determination.
