Singing&Sounding keeps me Sound
The Lord is my Shepherd - Der Herr ist mein Hirt
2007_04_13 |
lyrics:
Bible Psalm 23 |
tune: The tune is traditional and I heard it in several versions. The one I love to sing, I learnt from Sarah, a woman who studied at "Elul" in Jerusalem and came once, together with other pupils , to "Succah in the Desert", in 1992 |

1
A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul; He guideth me in straight paths [that's a totally wrong translation...] for His name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; Thou hast anointed my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. |

, when - in working once more on "Nebo-Let-Go" - I translated that anonymous poem I found in the Rachel-Succah, when I visited there in 2006, I was strangely touched by that writer's usage of nafshi yeshovev from Ps. 23. The writer turned it around into"teshovev nafshekh" or perhaps "teshuvav nafshekh" , referred to again in Kiss-log 2008-04-08 in "Communication with Deity". The obscure root sh-v-v- which I explored thoroughly when stumbling over it in another biblical song - be-shuvah ve-nakhat is used in modern Hebrew with the meaning "of making fun". At the very end of the Intro-Page to Healing-k.i.s.s. I quoted the last song which created itself in 2012, and this one , too, includes the two words from Ps. 23 : nafshi yeshovev |

"....Manifestation is meant to be

[Godchannel,
Second Interview with the Folks]
Isn't this psalm and song about "thou
preparest a table before me"
the perfect entry to the continuation
of our Table-Laying-Game?
While searching for items, which could serve as "macaroni"
on our dinner-table,
she comes across the little black bag with the sheep-wool,
which I had lately found in the desert and brought to her - to make a beard
, for instance.
She soon attaches it to her cheek saying: "it's
not for being macaroni, it's for feeling pleasant!"
My idea for "macaronis"
- little while plastic-links in the flower-chain which tore the last time
- made her pull out the waste-paper-basket,
and there - a lot of discarded pages with only a scrawling or scribling on
each.
That's where I started an "ecological lesson" with her
- about the tree, that wasn't happy to be cut and killed,
and that deserved at least to serve a purpose
- becoming a page of paper for Mika's creativity.
The re-honored pages are placed carefully in the empty
basket
Mika brings
me these sweet lemon "pills" in the name of her mother. On the fine metal box I read "If you want to be happy, be happy" Lev Tolstoi Mika is terribly greedy for sweet (just like me), and in this case , too, she manipulates me in such a clever way, that I cannot but give her one "pill", though she is not supposed to have one.... |
A game, that was interrupted, had to do with two hair-clips,
a butterfly and a doll.
Mika had just placed them neatly beyond a colored pen,
when Imma called us for supper.
The next day I saw the composition on the wooden table on the veranda
The play of sun and shade accomplished what Mika and I had missed out on.
After Mika had been put to bed, she once came to us,
who were having a rare and deep talk about the question,
while small children have to die of terrible illnesses.
"I just came for a hug" , she
justified herself.
Following our talk I wanted to send her the
last message from Godchannel about "Ego",
but in opening it, my eyes fell rightaway on the last chapter of the last
"Interview with the Folks":
called "Cosmic Human Identity".
This was it in a nutshell, what I had tried to convey to Efrat and thus had
understood it deeper myself:
[Part of "The
fifth Interview with the Folks", channeled on October 1, 2008]
Cosmic Human Identity
Thank you Folks,
.....
What you've said also seems to again raise the issue of identity.
You suggest that Human identity is really a cosmic identity.
How can this be?
"The sense of your constant, unchanging identity
is important to keeping you oriented
as the person you feel yourself to be.
The same person who goes to sleep at night wakes in the morning.
However, this sense of being a separate person
who has a life and a personal history
is not all of who you are.
"Your true Human identity is with life itself.
Although it may seem strange to hear,
it is accurate to say
that very few Humans have actually lived.
Except for brief moments here and there,
almost all Humans over age five
have been too frightened
to venture outside of the models of reality and the identity
that your mind has constructed for you.
"You have believed yourselves
to be small and unimportant in the grand scheme of things.
And this will remain true for you
so long as you continue to unconsciously honor
the perspectives and beliefs
that the conditioning in your mind has held you to.
"Your true identity is so much more than you've thought
yourself to be.
As We have said, [in
.folksinterview4>greatness]
Humans are amazingly vast Beings
with potentials well beyond your present ability to imagine.
You have all of the parts of Deity within you,
and if you choose,
you may identify as any of these parts,
or as all of Deity combined~~~
the whole Universe and its Creators.
Of course you must first leave behind
the erroneous old beliefs from your conditioning
and the disempowering self-hatred they have engendered.
"Spirit has pointed out [in
.identity>healer]
that there is a specific identity in Deity
that will serve you well as the Healer of yourself~~~
and therefore of all Creation.
There is one identity that straddles both
the first and second attention [in
.reality4>where],
and it is the essence of your humanness as well.
"Your true Human greatness is not in yourself as Spirit,
or as Mother, or as Heart.
Your true greatness is in yourself as Body.
Spirit has said that your identity is flexible
[in .identity>flexible],
that your identity is as you choose it to be in the moment,
and that when you choose to identify as Body,
you are placing yourself in the position of the Healer of yourself~~~
and therefore of Creation.
"This choice of identity is only possible
if you are not identifying inside the mind
with its maps of pasts and futures
and stories about who you are and who you've been.
For instance,
your sense of 'I' living 'my life'
is an example of an unreal, mentally constructed identity.
What you've known as your 'life'
is essentially a story your mind has made up
about yourself as a separate fragment of a larger whole, 'the world.'
And this is all that your mind can know about you~~~
a story about the identity of the main character in the movie of your life
[in
.reality2>movie].
The mind cannot know your real, true Self.
"There is much, much more to your humanness
than in your made-up identity as the person who lives your life.
Your true identity is vast and well beyond your personal story
of separation, struggle, triumph, elation, defeat, pain
and a faint, distant longing for something you can't quite touch.
"What the mind-made identity
that has been masquerading as you
cannot know
is the true nature of reality,
just as it is in the present moment.
While you have been asleep [see
.index>awakening]
and lost in the mind's models of
reality
with stories of past and future,
while you have been living in a dream-like story
that you have come to know as 'your life,'
your true Identity has been patiently waiting for you,
always here in the eternal present moment,
just outside of mind.
"However, this does not mean
that your personal, mental identity is completely unreal.
Your old, familiar self is real in that it is a part of your larger identity.
It's just that this 'self' you've known is not all of who you are.
The small, accustomed ego-based personal self you've called 'me'
is only the tip of a very large iceberg~
the vast, universal Self you truly are.
"As Grandfather has said, [see
in .grandfatherinterview2>Magical
Body]
the true Human identity is timeless, eternal.
As a present and fully whole Human Being,
you are what brings Divinity into manifestation,
you are the manifesting part of Deity,
you are Body.
"Trust yourself as Body.
When identified as Body
you can quickly rescue the old conditioned 'you'
from the traps of the mind's conditioning
and into full presence in true, loving, unconditioned reality.
Whenever you want to know how to find the present moment,
touch your body.
And then as Body,
feel into the quality of the touch.
Until you go back into thought,
you are here now in the one, eternal present moment.
And of course you can do this practice anytime you like."
Thank you, Folks.
You mentioned that of all of the parts of Deity,
Body exists in two different ways,
in both the first attention and second attention [see
in .reality4>where].
Please say more about this?
"In what is called the first attention,
you are Body as the physical form
that was conceived by your parents,
born on your birthday
and has ever since been growing and evolving as a part of manifestation.
And in the second attention,
at a deeper layer of Self you are the cosmic Being
that is both what manifests the Universe
and is the Universe.
"Words can only be pointers here,
useful as metaphors but not as containers of truth.
The reality of your true identity that We are pointing to
is beyond what words can speak or the mind can grasp.
To the mind this may likely seem to be a paradox.
That is because what We are saying
must be felt to be understood.
And as We mentioned earlier,
it is only in the way something feels
that you can truly know it."
April 23, 2010
On our way to her kindergarden, Mika marches and sings the
song of a march,
still under the influence of Independence-Day with its slightly or not so
slightly military tendency,
very appropriate under the street-signs of "The Maccabeans"....
In the afternoon, |
As to the photos of Mika's riding on the soles of my feet, I , by chance, came across such scenes with other grandchildren
|
Also with Tomer, but a year later,
|
It wasn't MY idea, that Mika should pose,
but the picture is nice anyway
I don't remember the reason for her getting mad at me. I call it being "sour", according to the beloved kids song "Sometimes I'm sad and sometimes I'm joyful ....sometimes I'm sweet and sometimes I'm sour, but I am always me, I'm always staying myself" which teaches her and me to accept all the opposing traits in us. We even - during the next days - created an additional stanza, of which Mika invented the first line: "sometimes I'm standing, sometimes I'm sitting". I would have preferred "walking~sitting", but she didn't accept it. |
Sometimes I
stand (or walk) and sometimes I sit, sometimes I read and sometimes I write, sometimes my heart is open, sometimes repressed, sometimes I am tough, and sometimes dedicated |
