Today I am grate-full
to celebrate a feat in my personal life:
I have a mouth full of shining,
though not truly genuine, teeth!
"Didn't you bring a cake?"
laughed Dr. Shmuel Oron,
when I came today,
for the last time
after nine months work.
See, how my children helped me,
to make this possible financially!

Well, I've created "a cake" after all:
This page on "Healing-K.i.s.s",
on the fifth day of Chanuka,

a composition of photos,
which expresses my grate-full-ness
to "my" wonderful team
in the Clalit Dental Clinic
in Arad:

to Dr. Oron and to Dr. Irene and to Dr.Ina
to Sarah and to Anna and to Rina,
to Nurit and to Etti.

From the composition "Waking the Tiger, Healing Trauma"
"Another, not daily, but almost weekly "activity"
since the end of February 2007,
is my visit in the dental clinic
for the "rehabilitation of my mouth" (shiqum ha-paeh in Hebrew).
Except for not foreseen treatments, my three children pay for it.
The atmosphere in the clinic is like in the house of friends.
Nurit and Etti, Anna, Rinah and Sarah and the three doctors, who treat me!
They all relate to me as if I were the most important person,
and they manage to relate like that to all the other people too,
even those, whose Russian or Arabic or Black-Hebrew English
they can't understand.
And what did we find out after more than half a year?
That Etti is the always praised ex-stepmother
of Gal Mor, one of my "Star-children" .


"In that moment (Nov. 25, 2007) in the dental clinic,
on this side of the desk, Nurit (right) and Etti (standing)
served three Beduin women across the desk,
dressed just like Perla, the Jewish Chabad-woman.
I'm fascinated by this unity in diversity,
in Arad in particular and in Israel in general."

And they saw everything they had done - and lo it was very good!

When I came home, I found some "Chanuka-Sufganias" in front of my door,
put there by Meital, as it turned out later.
I tried out my new teeth - eating one! -
taking photos in front of the mirror with my left hand.
It felt still a bit wobbly, shaky, as if I could not trust it.
But

"I feel pretty, o so pretty"
I feel charming
Oh so charming
It's alarming how charming I feel
And so pretty
That I hardly can believe I'm real

See the pretty girl in that mirror there?
Who can that attractive girl be?
Such a pretty mouth
With so pretty teeth
Such a pretty smile
