InteGRATion into GRATeFULLness
Fine-tuning to my Presence
Arad, the town, and a little theft
When I returned from my
last appointment in the Dental Clinic,
I was so happy, that everything on my way home was shining more than usual.
I walked along the street, which I , when going to the pool, only cross,
El'azar Ben Ya'ir Street, the name of a man,
which will forcefully and not pleasantly remind me of the Masada
myth
This time I discerned a house, which had the sign "for sale" on
the lower as well as on the upper floor.
"How sad", I said to myself, "people move away from Arad, from
the desert..."
The beauty of the trees and branches compensated for the sadness.
Walking on I watched with joy the beautiful urban architecture of this street.
The staircases lead down to "my" pool.
The last staircase, the
one I come up to cross the El'azar street towards my Wadi of Compassion,
ends with a tiny public spot.
When coming from the pool
twice a day, I pass by this little public spot, which is not very well cared for. In winter it is spread with "monk-head", (Kapuziner-kresse, Nasturium), known to me from my youth in Germany. Both, flowers and leaves are rich with vitamin C, and I, therefore, want a few plants in my garden. When passing by on Dec. 5, it crossed my mind, that I should bring a tool, to dig out some of the young plants. And what do I see? At the edge of the "garden"? A kind of fork, to serve me! On Dec. 7, I took a photo with my left hand, while digging out a new little plant, forlorn in the thicket under the coarse trunk of a palm-tree. |
One of the 8 plants I've
"stolen" within 3 days, had a flower! I was sure, the flower would "not make it". After two days the newly planted flower was still sad But after 3 days in my garden it raised its head healthily! |
After some days I wanted to steal yet another plant,
but "lo", my equipment angel Ezriel had taken the tool away.
"Eight plants are enough!" I was told....
"Eight" - like the eight days of Chanuka....
I want to complete this page with my red pepper,
which had ripened again in the second year,
after it sprouted without me having sown it...
Again: I am grate-full to "God in small
things"
