The Finale

Immanuel joins his companions,
who had been dismissed formerly,
while Avi and Elihav
have to fight it out in the live show.

Avi becomes the Masterchef of Israel
 
I, Christa-Rachel, Immanuel's mother,
have been healing, learning and creating
through "Healing-K.i.s.s." since 10 years.
That it was erased on..... Christmas 2008

was a sign: "no longer create new pages!
but add new creations to existing pages!

I had planned "O give me a home" for this day,
but considering the few days left in the 2007 Song Games,
I didn't want to waste a day on a song,
which I like – both its tune
and the description of homesickness -
but which is a home so different from my own.

So right in time
I came across a paper cutting with a song,
that I was given by a woman
in the Auschwitz-BirkenAU retreat,
when we set up a "standup choir"
on the rails of BirkenAU.
but which I only now,
following its re-discovery,
learnt to sing
The contrast between that old and this new song
is telling volumes about the evolution of
modern wo/man's coping
with him/herself and his/her life:

 

 

s to the one line in the modern song, which doesn't agree with me
"letting your forgiveness touch"
it was only yesterday, that I came across this quote from Godchannel:


"How is Reclaiming lost Will Related to Forgiveness?"

"A Course in Miracles is a manual on Forgiveness
on how to do this with congruence and integrity.
But it doesn't address the issue of lost will or magnetic essence.
Reclaiming magnetic essence that you've previously denied
requires coming out of denial and feeling what you didn't want to feel before.
If it's a resentment,
and you release it because you're now aware
that the problem was with you, and not the other,
then you're using the forgiveness model to reclaim a projection,
a part of yourself that you had denied onto another."

 

On June 2, 2011 ,
I began to learn a song, which talks about my own home, Israel.
The tune was familiar to me, but not the lyrics and not the story!
about a - Christian - girl, who was in Israel and yearns back to it!

Yoram Taharlev writes:
After the Six Day War a "military band" was established
in the United States, which belonged to a Christian Church
in Denver/Colorado. They would come to Israel once a year, and - dressed in the uniforms of the Israel army - performed (for two weeks) in army-bases. Their admiration for Israel
and the Israel Defence Forces caused them
to avoid sticking a cross on top of their church in the USA.
In the beginning of the eighties I was invited... to work with the band on a new program towards their performances .
One of the band's members asked me to write a special song for her which would depict her longing for the county, which fills all her life
(truly!). And this is the song which I wrote....


By the time I worked on my sculpture of June 21, 2011
I forgot about my own singing on June 2, 2011,
Nor did I realize, that the composer of this song
was the same who sang in Tel-Aviv on June 9, 2011,
in the commemoration of Lova Eliav's death a year ago.
For it was only on June 21, Solstice,
that I completed to learn and sing the song by heart.
I recorded it , without discerning the soundbutton below.

All this occurred perhaps,
because I, too, was "a Christian girl",
who met her love in Israel (1960), [not her first love though,
but the one who would become the father of her children,]
a girl who came to Israel again in (1964) and "for good"!

Yossi Azulai sings to the mothers of Avi, Elihav and Immanuel,
after Immanuel "had to go", as little Mika cried.
The 2 min. clip appeared on Facebook-Mako for a few days only.
I'm grateful, that I managed to crop the most relevant scenes,
though when I saw it one other time after the work of cropping,
I discerned an important image - Immanuel's kiss on my cheek,
which I had not caught - despite careful cropping and rewinding.
By then the video had already been taken off the Internet.
But the movement towards the kiss is clearly visible....

was a contribution of Yossi Azulai
to the participants in the live Finale while the TV watchers at home
had to bear a commercial.
It was not included in the show,
nor in the video of the show

Letter to Immanuel on April 22, 2012
3 days after the TV program with his mother and his daughter
on the Day of the Holocaust

about my surprising insight,
that his art was not only perishing like a drawing on the sideway,
this at least can be guarded as a photo,
it is perishing the moment it is eaten,
and - as in this case of the Finale - it was not even eaten,
there was not even one person who could enjoy it for one second...
