The world throws me around with thorny hands, it drags me to water, it drags me to fire, I burn and I burn and I am not burnt, I lift myself up again and go on a bit further. |
Mika
and her friends: "I want to know all the children of the world" Here she prevents Keshet (=rainbow) to run towards the road with its cars. Mika and the World: Here she follows the TV reality series: A star is born The last event was too late for her to stay up. When - first thing in the morning - she asked me: "Who became the Star? " and I told her: "Diana!" she said: "I'm glad! I wanted her to win! But Ohad (one of the 3 finalists) --- he didn't feel hurt, did he?"

Third continuation
of "a full documentation" of an entire day with Mika, Sept. 28,
2010
How did the symbol of 'Right Use of Will' come to ornament my neck? A week after the beginning of "The Walk about Love 2009"- at Shittin, I came to sit next to a girl, who did not take part in the Walk: Tamah ! She connected me to the one from whom her teacher, Dvora Bar-Ilan, had once-1987- learnt about Right Use of Will, which changed her life. "While in India ~I asked a silversmith to create the symbol of RUOW! But now I feel, you, Christa-Rachel Bat-Adam should have it!" Tamah [=the whole one] took the chain off her neck and hang it around mine. [Tamah and the chain surfaced also in Sept. 2009, and in Febr. 2010 ] |
When Mika was finally ready to return to "swimming", |
Back home,

Soon it's time to go to "the Succot-Festival",
which is happening tonight at Hevel-Park.
Efrat doesn't feel like going there (not to talk about my
aversion against such events),
but it was her, who had informed Mika and promised that we would take her
there.
And there was a surprise: I met Mirik Snir in person!
What was interesting for me, was to see this park for the first time since
August 2008.
How
many experiences did I have at Hevel-Park with little Mika!
We came across a fancy "Ecological Succah". and we met Amit, whom Mika had visited recently. How strange, that they put her in a stroller. She' s only about half a year younger than Mika. |
What
a coincidence! There was a show based on the books of Mirik Snir!! "Mika has many of her books!" Efrat told me, but I myself had never heard of Mirik, a mother of 9 children, a grandmother of 15 grandchildren, teacher, author, poet. On August 27, 2010, I opened Dov Elboim's TV show (Channel 1) : "Receiving Shabbat", to which he always invites a person, who loves the Bible, but rarely is a professional. The show can be seen either before Shabbat, 19:00, or after Shabbat 20:30. So far I always forgot the first opportunity, but on this day I did open at 19:00. Therefore, when I was so delighted about this woman and especially her poem, I had the chance to listen again after Shabbat and to record the fantastic poem. And now, there at Park Hevel in Shoham, I met her face to face behind the scenes! |

About
an English book by Mirik
Snir: "When I first held you", A charming rhymed story, told by a mother to her son or daughter, illustrated vibrantly and colorfully by Mirik Snir's daughter, Eleyor Snir. Wonderfully suits as a gift for the birth of a child or birthdays About Mirik: Mirik Snir was born in 1948, during the Israeli War of Independence. She was raised and educated in Kibbutz Kfar Giladi, as one of twelve siblings. She married Israel Snir from Kibbutz Neve-Eitan, where they lived for 20 years. Mirik is a mother of nine children, a grandmother of fifteen grandchildren, Author, Poet, and elementary school and special education teacher. she has published more than 80 books and translated Yiddish stories-poems of Kadia Molodovsky. ... additional children's literature from across the globe, including translations of Palestinian children's books. Four of Mirik Snir's books have been translated to Arabic and she has an ongoing relationship with educators in the Arab sector. Mirik ...brings children closer to biblical stories and the language of the bible. . Mirik's books enable children to attempt independent reading at a very young age. They are highly suitable for people learning Hebrew as a second language in Israel and abroad. |
Mirik regards it as her mission Mirik Snir strongly believes in cultivating cooperation between the
writer and the illustrator |
Hiba Batkhish sings Fairuz and Hava Alberstein at the audition to A Star is Born [see a video with her, when she sang an Arabic song in Tel-Aviv] And see a
video with an interview in Arabic, with Hebrew subtitles, in which she states her mission . She also sings in the Nazareth Orchestra We knew, that around 8 o'clock the show with Hiba would start! The Arab Hiba Batkhish was one of the 26 contestants of "A Star is Born" [from among 5000 candidates]. To my regret, when Mika had the chance to watch the program on TV for the first time, and from then on got totally hooked on it, Hiba had already been dismissed [but stayed famous, as this occasion shows!]. This meant, that she couldn't connect to the singer on the stage, and her extreme tiredness took over... |
Mika rubs her eyes We drove home! |

When Elah, her sister, now 23, was Mika's age, she , too, loved to be carried around with this song, though I sang it only in the original German, then. |
Little did I know, why this is the last composition of
that fully documented day,
- a week later Mika fell from
these steps....
At Acco, on the Eve of Simchat
Torah, September 29, 2010
With Mika's "other grandmother", Miryam, and
Mika's only living grandfather, Victor
As we leave the flat and the house at Shoham, Efrat's beauty amazes me! |
Nella, Abba, Mika, before the house at Acco, in which except for Efrat's parents, in time all Jewish inhabitants were exchanged by Arab families.... |
Did Mika again play the "good girl"? By
not refusing to be kissed and hugged?
I tried to compensate for her body postures by explaining to her grandfather,
that Mika had initiated to draw this picture and to call it: "Saba!"
Grandpa!
After almost an hour , which made not only the housewife
and cook impatient and angry,
the other family arrived, Efrats youngest brother Shim'on with wife and their
two children.
Immanuel between Victor, his wife's father, and Marco,
Efrat's unmarried brother, who has a tourist
business in Morocco

Mirjam, of course, brings wonderful Moroccan food, Much, much could be told about the interactions
