I desire to focus my attention
on what I want for the people on the planet, including the USA,
- may my sarcasm behind the following sculpture be the last
time I wallow in judging politicians
I desire to emphasize those casual utterings of my family members
which reinforces love -
may today's sarcasm behind my remark about someone's "self-pity"
be the last I allow myself!

My Body,
my Partner,
my God
I give thanks to our tear-duct, which enables me to cry,
- crying being the most efficient way of moving emotions,
according to my 70 years of experience.
I use to day: everything came and comes to me with difficulty
except for 3 things: loving, thinking and crying!
"Your
tear ducts are short canals leading from the tiny opening
on the inside corner of each eye to your nasal passages.Your
eyes produce tears to lubricate, nourish, and protect your
eyes from debris and bacteria.
Every time you blink, you spread tears over your eyes,
and during a 15-minute period you produce fluid that's equal
to about one large teardrop. Your tear ducts collect
this fluid and move it to your nasal passages, where it drains.When
you cry, your tear ducts cannot drain all the fluid, so it
overflows. As you age, you produce an average of 40 percent
fewer tears"
I am grate-full - every day anew,
that Immanuel returned from his flight (to Chicago, from NY)
safely,
and that all my children, my children-in-love and my 10 grandchildren
are alive and healthy, able to learn, to be aware and to create
their lives,
beautiful in their appearance and gifted to contribute to
humankind.

E. had asked me to drive her to the airport
trainstation,
since her new license will arrive only next week.
"On the way we'll bring Mika to the kindergarden,
have coffee at "Rachel's" , until Immanuel will tell us,
that his plane has arrived at the airport."
No sooner had we parked in front of Shoham's
Commercial Center,
when Immanuel announced his arrival.
So we had only a few minutes to sit at "Rachel's" and have
the coffee ordered by phone.
While E. went to the bank automat, I had a look on the newspaper on
my table.
And this is what I saw .... and .... felt...
Bush and Olmert
on top of the Masada.
"A second time Masada will not fall".
Haven't I only recently wept about the Masada myth?
" More
than 10,000 police will be deployed across the region to back
U.S. federal officers in what is the largest security operation
in Israel since Pope John Paul II's visit in March 2000.
Security will also be heavy at a number of
large demonstrations in Israel planned to protest Bush's visit.
To minimize his exposure, Bush will do most
of his traveling by helicopter, but some stops on in his itinerary,
particularly in the West Bank, are reachable only by car and
on foot. That, security analysts say, will be the most dangerous
time for the president.
During his tour of the West Bank, the Palestinian
Authority will aid U.S. security teams in protecting the president.
Bush
is scheduled to depart Jerusalem on Friday for Kuwait.
He will then head to Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates,
Saudi Arabia and Egypt. He returns to Washington next Wednesday.
A major challenge for Bush will be keeping
the trip focused on Israeli-Palestinian peace while other issues
-- Iran, Pakistan, Iraq and "

I discern the almost romantic meeting
between Bush and the Knesset speaker Dalia Itzik.
And when we leave the table and the newspaper, taking only my
still half-full paper-cup,
- I discern an old woman dragging along with her "cart"
of food supplies..

Airport and Train-station
Immanuel arrives from New York and helps Efrat
to find out, where and when a train goes to Tel-Aviv

When we drive through the area of the airport+train-station,
Immanuel says:
"Look , all these cars have the sign "Maryland"
- they are the convoy of Bush".
When I take a photo, he warns: "Do
you want them to stop us?"
A pilot comes home after a night's flight:
Nella jumps on him like mad and pees around like crazy.

Time to drink a coffee? To unpack? to go to sleep?
First things first!
the repaired piano must be tried!
Immanuel who never learnt to play the piano,
applies his knowledge of tunes and chords on his guitar
and plays - with fervor though not yet fluently ("I'll
learn it!" )-

the musician whom I approached in July 1977
towards the "festival of
the Partnership hymn"
at the end of the Arab-Jewish camp at
Neve-Shalom
from which the present Arab-Jewish village finally took wings.
Heiman's tune was among the 9 tunes, performed at the festival.
But the only one suited for both , the Arabic and the Hebrew
lyrics,
was that of Yusuf al-Hill from Nazareth
[nothing about him on the
Internet...].

Immanuel's contribution to the Festival was not in playing or
singing
but in finding out about hydrogen gas for filling the balloons,
which we wanted to let fly about this country,
each with a personal message for Jews and Arabs. |

After less than two hours sleep pilot-Abba goes
to fetch Mika from kindergarden. It's Friday! Shabbat-Eve!
Then both Abba and Mika go to sleep, and when
they are refreshed, we go out.
"Mika, look at these numbers. Can
see a "2"? a "nine"? "
etc.
Mika knows all numbers from 1-10. She is 2 years and 4 1/2 months
old. |

We enter the Hevel-Park.
"Mika, do you see the olive tree?"
I ask.
And sure enough, she leads Abba to the
Shoham-Tur'aan Friendship Tree,
which she and I had discovered recently.
Bikers, a father with his kids, around the friendship-tree
and the sculpture called "kesher", which in this case probably
means "tie" (communication)
An idyll on the hill
The "sleep"-"don't sleep"
game, which Mika wants to play at every occasion and none-occassion.
The point is, that the one who is commanded to fall asleep, is woken
up by a scream: "don't sleep",
and then has to make confused faces and sounds.
Now it's Mika's turn to fall asleep and be woken
up
In the meanwhile the sun performs her own show
beyond the already deserted playground and park - it is the Eve of
Shabbat!
We go home to welcome Tomer, brought by Elah in her mother's car.
She stays for dinner, festive as all dinners prepared by Chef Immanuel.
Later she leaves, while Tomer stays and spends the last 2 hours of
the day with teaching Grandma about "Punk-Rock"
and "Sex Pistols"...
