EAR OF GRAIN IN THE FIELD

Ear of grain in the field, bowed in the wind
From the weight of its seed, which is great.

And in the expanse of the mountains

Michal Ansky:
"What you have to prepare, is a dish of Slichah ["sorry", asking for forgiveness]"
You know, that food is also a means through which you can communicate something to a person.
without using words.
A person talks to another person, by preparing food for him/her.
We are now in the month of Elul, which is the month of asking for forgiveness in the Hebrew Calendar
and we ask ourselves, if there is such a thing: a dish of Sorry
Think while you cook about the person, for whose forgiveness you want to ask
You have an hour and a quarter for preparing a dish which is wholly Slichah."

Avi - despite his exhaustion from already 2 dishes - decides
to enter deeply into honesty
and cook a dish of slichah for all his family,
whom he once hurt so much by his way of drugs.
"You can't say, in the past I used drugs, but thanks God I'm clean and I didn't hurt anybody".
No words can describe, how mad I made my mother and how my mother ran after me.
She fought for me like a lioness, I'll not forget this till the end of my life.
God forbid, God forbid, that my own children will do something like that."

Elihav decides to cook for his mother,
"I could have prevented doing some things in my life,
which hurt her deeply.
I left the country to work abroad, during a time,
in which my mother was on the lowest level of wellbeing .
And I, the most sensitive child in the world, a mother's child,
simply didn't see this... my career, etc. - I deserted her when she most needed me.
This dish will comfort her! I'm not making a dish, I'm making love now!"

Shai:
"I'm going to cook for the man whom I hurt most in my life,
whose heart I broke most, my former partner, the love of my life,
a person who gave me life, and I hurt him in a terrible way - betrayal."
