Except for closing his eyes for a moment, the face of Elihav does not show, what he felt, when three judges so harshly criticized his error of having defreezed the fish with water. Chaim: "the Japanese say that it's forbidden to rinse the meat of the fish with water, for they say, that also the water is cooking. You took the Salmon and defreezed it with water and even added drops of hot water" |

Rachel's
comment: I wished, Elihav would allow himself, to show and to sigh his pain and not put up this facade. I wished, Iris has stood by his side, or - if she was omitted by the editors - that the editors would have given her space. I wished, Iris would not have given up on herself, but faced Elihav as an equal partner. But what is very valuable in this scene for me, is the realization, that some laws of cooking are so ingrained in me, that I don't even know they are there. I would never have defreezed fish by force. It's good to know, that I haven't forgotten all my former skills. |

I was sure, that Immanuel would have to cook the dismissal dish.
But it seems, that Sima's cake saved him:

This is another example of Mika's incredible creativity and technical proficiency::
Within minutes she creates a tent under the blanket, on which I'm seen sitting:
The "lentils" from the pods of the tree "Klil-ha-khoresh" or "Bride of the Wood"

serve as catalysts for ever so many new creations.
It is still Shabbat-morning, and now, at 9 o'clock she meets her mother
and reminds her of her promise, to let her make funny sculptures with her hair
