Singing&Sounding keeps me Sound
Horch, was kommt von draussen rein
If not on earth, at least in heaven I'll be united with my love.
2007_09_09 Horch was kommt von draußen rein |
German
Folksong from Schwaben (the area in South-Germany in which I grew up) I must have sung and heard this song hundreds of times, but only today I discovered the last stanza and in it the point of the funny song: Even though on Earth I didn't get my love: when I'll be in Heaven, my love will be there too, for it's an old custom: those who love each other, will get each other |
|
1. Horch
was kommt von draußen rein Horch was kommt von draußen 'rein. Hollahi Hollaho Wird wohl mein fein's Liebchen sein. Hollahi jaho. Geht vorbei und schaut nicht 'rein. Hollahi Hollaho. Wird's wohl nicht gewesen sein. Hollahi jaho. 4. Wenn mein Liebchen Hochzeit hat Hollahi Hollaho Ist für mich ein Trauertag Hollahi jaho Geh ich in mein Kämmerlein Hollahi Hollaho Trage meinen Schmerz allein Hollahi jaho |
2. Leute haben's oft gesagt 5. Wenn ich dann gestorben bin |
3. Sagt
2011
Re-union of my WHOLE family with Naftali and Naomi Raz,
June 10-11, 2011
See
context in Nourishment June 14-15, 2011
- Page VII-
The
sequence of photos (phI=a photo by Immanuel)
is spread on 7 Song-Pages. I so much enjoyed the constantly changing "electrons and atoms" within this temporary oneness, unity, union, unison [which - naturally - also included fosterchild Yanna] that I photographed the changing "constellations" again and again. Since this "repetition" of "similar" scenes might be boring to look at, I'm going to play a game, and - in "constellation-photos" - mention those who are NOT visible. Those who are seen only from the back or only behind someone's head or body, are "visible" ! All 20 "players" are always mentioned according to t h i s o r d e r : |
Naftali Naomi |
See the "dynasty" of Rafael Rosenzweig's family on the pages of Itamar's Bar-Mitzvah in Febr. 2011 |
Dita showed us - on her I-phone - that
she once had painted a picture, which very much resembled that mosaic
of the farm.
I photographed it from the little screen, since Dita might forget to send
me an original photo (see
a context of this painting!)
During our meal togetherness it became clear, that several
points in Naftali's program had to be skipped for lack of time.
But before we reached the final station - the home of Naftali~Na'omi at Revivim
- he brought us to an observation-point,
from where we could enjoy yet another artificial lake, yet another sign of
"Water in the Wilderness", the Lake of Revivim.
The Wilderness and the Water with two grand--daughters,
Mika and Rotem
How sweet the three on the stone: Rotem and Itamar
and Mika.
And who is missing this time?
not only Yanna, but Immanuel and Efrat, [Ronnit's
and Uri's heads are visible)
, and Rachel
Now I see, there is, after all, a third "person-less"
desert photo taken during our reunion on June 11, 2011.
Do I not really trust that this lake is a fulfilment of the
biblical prophecies about "Water in the Wilderness"?
Once more: ten are present and ten are missing
What a crowd is now entering the two rooms of Naftali~Naomi
, paying tenants at Revivim:
The - now empty - rooms above were once inhabited by Golda Meir,
obviously not while she was the Primeminister of Israel!
We admire the little archeological garden of Naftali~Naomi
in front of their rented house.
Except for Naftali, Gid'on to the left, and Uri to the right, they are all
seen from their backs:
Ronnit and Micha and Immanuel, my children,
then Ayelet and Yael and Arnon, my grandchildren,
then Dita, Yanna, Rotem and Joel.
Na'omi went home ahead of us to prepare coffee.
Four grandchildren, Tomer, Yael, Arnon, Ayelet to
the left and two siblings, Ronnit and Micha to the right
- try to identify archeological items
Yanna, Tomer and Rotem find something to eat,
Yael, Arnon and Ayelet may soon join them,
Gid'on and Micha discover something interesting.
This was the last photo on my camera - I hadn't
taken with me the spare battery -
so, since I saw a beautiful scene inside the house,
I had to tackle Immanuel's sophisticated camera to catch
this wondrous merging of Mika and Rotem with the home of who was my friend
40 years ago.
The end of my participation in our re-union:
Dita and Gid'on will move on to a holiday
at the Dead Sea and take me to Arad on their way.
Since Yanna has to reach the - probably only - bus from the Dead Sea to Jerusalem,
at 20:20,
they have to leave, before the others part from Naftali~Naomi and from each
others' families.
And what now? Was this re-union the closure
of a period of 42 years,
or an opening towards communication on a c o m m o n frequency?
