A Song, a Song for you ~~~ a Dance, a Dance for you

Dedicated
to Elah, the dancer and the singer, my granddaughter |
8 days later, by chance(?) on my birthday, Immanuel
sent me his videos of Elah's singing
Today is the 20th
birthday of my eldest granddaughter, Elah Rosenzweig. Though Elah gave me the inspiration to one of my songs, when she was not yet 6 years old, that one became my granddaughter Rotem's song, and one for Elah has not yet been created. This is good, for it provides the space for Elah's own songs! The one on this page shares the metaphor of SAND with the reality of yesterday's "Sands of the Desert" and to emphasize Elah's integration of "sand" and "waves" I added a marvellous photo of sand-waves there!] |

2009
On February 24, 2009, 3 days before I embarked on The
Walk about Love,
I was invited to a show of Elah's School for Performing Arts, Beit Zwi:
"HAIR" !
Theater Ramat-Gan
"Tonight: Hair"
During the closure of the show people from the audience were
invited to dance,,
and - while handing over my camera - I let myself be shoved up stage by Efrat
...
…..
Granddaughter dances with grandmother - what a sign
of the future "Heaven-on-Earth"
And I am not the only one - a grandfather - even with a kippah on his head - dances too....
Elah flies above the earth, and at the same time leans on me affectionately
2010
Elah was praised in a review about a play, the content of which does not agree with my 2010 motto to celebrate what's right with the World. But maybe, if I had a chance to see the play, I would think differently. On the other hand, I came across her videos, and they inspired me to a sculpture in, yes: Celebrate what's right with the World |
