"fill our barns (or granaries) with grain"
2007_06_10 |
lyrics: |
tune: David Zehavi |
I learnt this song from a record,
|
On
August 12, I had forgotten about this page and sculpted another one
with this song. I did more research on it, found out about the authors of lyrics and tune, and - by chance! while looking for another song for that day and following a deeply moving talk via "Skype" with Jacob Hayat, my "twin-brother", I decided on "Avinu, malkenu" as the song of August 12. While doing research on that one, I discovered, that the beginning of today's song, June 10, "mal'u asamenu bar"="fill our barns (or granaries) with grain" is based on the line: "Our father, our King, fill our barns with satiation" , or "fullness" in an ancient hymn, one of the main parts of the Jewish Prayer "Avinu Malkenu" . Because of this "co-incidence" I also inserted my singing on August 12, 2007! |
Mika in her own house
at Shoham, since June 28, 2010, "...Manifestation
is meant to be a playground
|
Before they focus on the dangerous pram, |
Mika
was shocked and did everything to soothe her friend, about whom she had exclaimed time and again: "She loves me, she loves me, she loves me so much! and I'm even not her mother!" It fitted the tough little girl, to soon calm down into Mika's arms. |
It had been clear even before the two sisters came,
that for the common supper I would prepare "Aya-Liya",
I asked Mika if she remembered the utensils and ingredients.
Of course, she remembered, and left out only the salt.
The next day, Thursday, August 26, 2010
Efrat seemed to feel, that either Mika was too much
for me,
or I was too much for Mika,
in any case she decided to take Mika with her to her work.
I felt disappointed , but also glad .
May be, a few "free" hours would be beneficial
for me,
but more important, I had a chance to invite Ya'acov.
Already at 8:20 he called, that he had parked his car.
"Mika, do you want to come with me and fetch
Ya'acov?"
Yes, Mika wanted to come to the street outside the Yuvalim "maze",
and Efrat would be ready to come down, once we would arrive,
and help me carry up the wheelchair - five steps - to the lift.
But Ya'acov had asked a man outside for help already before we arrived.
So, Mika and I walked beside him, while he drove Ya'acov to the house,
and there it was easy, together with the helper, to overcome the steps.
After our 3 hours of intense talking, there was nobody to help us.
I had to balance Ya'acov in his wheelchair down those 5 steps all alone..
I manage to take a photo of the three, and then mother
and daughter leave the flat
But then the strain on Efrat was too much:
dealing with troubles at her work, taking care of making Mika happy,
and figuring out, how she could fetch Tomer from his boardingschool in time.
So when they came home, Efrat asked me, if I could go to the pool with Mika.
Of course I could! Of course, I wanted to once more savor the intimacy,
which Mika allows herself with me only in the pool, never outside of it.
As usual, we took a break and bought "Roller"
icecream.
Her mouth, chin and cheeks were smeared all over,
when we approached the sport devices for older kids.

We wondered, who had hung that towel there and we moved it to one of the chairs. Later, when we went swimming again, this time in the interior roofed pool, and Mika wanted me to go around and read all the signs of "Forbidden" to her, a girl, about 12 years old, saw us from the outside and asked: "Have you seen my towel, by chance?" She described it and Mika knew immediately: "I'll come and show you where we put it!" She ran outside the pool, around the building, up to that chair. "I did a good deed, didn't I?" she said, when she returned. |
