Singing&Sounding keeps me Sound
We went out slowly

lyrics:
Haim Hefer |
tune: David Zehavi |
I
learnt this song
from Immanuel, my son , when he was 12 years old, in 1975, and it still moves me to tears |
We went out slowly, pale was the night, And you remembered our laughter like a rivulet, |
Mika
and her friends: "I want to know all the children of the world" Here she prevents Keshet (rainbow) to run towards the road with its cars. Mika and the World: Here she follows the TV reality series: A star is born The last event was too late for her to stay up. When - first thing in the morning - she asked me: "Who became the Star? " and I told her: "Diana!" she said: "I'm glad! I wanted her to win! But Ohad (one of the 3 finalists) --- he didn't feel hurt, did he?"

This time, on Sept. 26, 2010, it was Efrat who had to
fetch me from Lod train-staition,
since Immanuel had left for his flight to Berlin (Simulator) already at 4
AM.
The next morning, Monday, I was allowed to bring Mika to the "noon-school",
which took place during the first few days of the Succot-week.
But before we left, I got a rare phone-call from Moshe Klein,
in whom I discern one of my three "twin-brothers".
Lately I had told him Mika's comments to biblical stories.
Now - though she was busy demonstrating to me that huge umbrella from Hongkong-
she got hold of my phone, before I could do so myself,
thus giving Moshe the pleasure to listen to her voice .
Siakh
Mathemati ba-Gan - "a mathematical
talk in kindergarden".
Since she hates watching films on the computer,
and couldn't grasp the meaning of Moshe's interaction with the kids,
she moved on to an activity, that was more relevant to her at this time:
she arranged a "succah" for her white and her pink rabbit...
Since during the Succot-days Mika is not with the team
of the kindergarden,
but with the team of what is usually her "noon-school" - after kindergarden,
I am allowed to stay on and to watch Mika's interactions with her mates.
Yael and Yuli in the foreground, Lia, Lior and Mika
in the background
After a while Yuli approaches me: The cooperation between Lia and Mika makes
me rejoice, |
I also
watch what's going on with the other kids and the wonderful kindergardeners. Here Segal has to deal with Ronni, a girl, whom I find difficult, but not so Segal... With great skill and great love she distracts Ronni from her (always?) whining attitude, in this case, because her mother had gone home. |
I try to interact with Lior, especially since Lia and Mika don't relate to her. "You painted such a colorful frame around your page! Why then is so much of the content black?" "I like black!" she says simply, and it was then, that all 3 girls declaimed this wisdom in 4 lines: Everyone does, how he wants and how he knows and how he decides |
Lior talked to me about Ammi and Tammi,
|
[At home I asked Mika, why she didn't relate to Lior. She said: "To Lior? She is an enchanting (maksimah) girl!" More I couldn't retrieve from her...] |
In the afternoon I'm again allowed to bring Mika back home. Mika shows an envelope with a gift from Lia. Lia had celebrated her fourth birthday, while Mika was in Thailand, and since it's the usage (not appreciated by me because of its consumerist aspect), that not only the birthday child, but every single child in kindergarden gets a gift too, Mika got her gift on this day. Efrat expressed contempt. But I said, that at least it was a gift that demanded some "do-it-yourself" from the kids, and that the result - a box for pencils and colors - was quite practical. So Efrat sat down to help Mika put the puzzle of the little bee together, and later I used much glue and hand-holding, to make the creature stick. |
Efrat sitting at the lovely new table with its love
chairs, so fitting to the small balcony.
They purchased it - much cheaper than elsewhere - at Abu Gosh...
Working on the computer, calling by phone and probably smoking:
a "multi-tasking" woman and mother
One of her paintings on that day shows "Ice-cream"
and the other an extraordinary little girl
Sept. 28, 2010, a day before the Eve of Simchat Torah
If I want to understand, why I chose this day,
in order to present a full documentation of my Heaven-on-Earth experience
with Mika,
I must read the passage underneath the 3 columns of the
Wave of Gratitude- Day 19-21
and also the passage as well as the 'sculpture' below the
Wave of Gratitude- Day 25-27
It was only "by chance", that this was also the first day ever,
on which I was allowed to be in Mika's PRESENCE from morning to night,
and most of the hours al-one with her, without "interference" from
ourside.
Imma - like Mika still in her pyjamas - re-adjusts the plaster on Mika's thumb, which Mika had begged for, when she discovered a tiny drop of blood after she had rampaged around on her way to bed the night before. |
Imma has to leave earlier than usual

"They hug!" |
"They fly, they fly!" |
