Singing&Sounding keeps me Sound
How goodly are thy tents, O Yacob

lyrics:
Numeri
(4. Mose) 24:5 + 24:6-7 added by me on 2010_04_05, as a compensation for the fact, that nowadays nobody in Israel sings canons. What a wondrous, symbolic characterization of Israel by the non-Hebrew prophet Bil'am! |
tune: a Hebrew canon for four voices which I learnt already in 1961 and which became very relevant ever since 1992 The Invention of the Pyramidal Tent |
|
How
goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, thy dwellings, O Israel! As valleys stretched out, as gardens by the river-side; as aloes planted of the LORD, as cedars beside the waters. [ "ahalim" - here translated as "aloes" - is written just like "tents" (pronounced: ohalim) today it's the name of a flower - a survival genius and healing plant - wild in the desert , as well as cultivated in parks and also in my garden at Arad ] |

- Mika's Heaven on Earth Since August 1, 2009, I employ song-page after song-page for documenting and exploring the evolution of Mika my youngest grandchild, whose assignment seems to be: to demonstrate to humankind by her own living and doing, how to playfully create from moment to moment "zest-fully and full-filled" [see previous composition] |
"....Manifestation is meant to be
a playground
where being and doing are fun..."
[Godchannel,
Second Interview with the Folks]
Dressed and combed for the Feast, she walks out of the house into the garden toward the sinking sun. I ask her to stand under the little fig-tree
Enchanted by her coiffure, I catch her, when she walks back into the house, turning around as if dancing - just before entering
Then the five of us - Immanuel and Efrat, the two
girls and I - drive to Mazkeret Batya,
where Micha
and his family have - unlike Immanuel and his family -
their own house.
Let me show it before inserting the images of our harmonious, even hilarious
Seder.
When I woke up very early the next morning, I discerned
a tree outside the window.
"How come, you already have such a high tree growing
in your young garden?"
"Oh", said Ra'ayah,
my daughter-in-love, "that was once
- a pot-plant!-
given to us by Ronnit, Micha's sister, to our wedding-day years ago!"
"Isn't it the same species as the trees planted along your little street?"
"No! For those have only one stem, while our tree consists of two!"
I definitely saw in this a wondrous symbol for this
couple's relationship!
Micha shows me, how he responds to the municipality's
urging to use a recycle-bin,
though he is not content yet!
Among other problems there are millions of tiny insects above and inside the
bin!
While sculpting this page, I came across a story
about little Micha, which I noted 41 years ago....
Beauty in Micha's garden and beauty at Micha's work

And now back to the night before, the Leil-Ha-Seder, or
Passover Night
Most of the art-work of laying the festive table was,
of course, Arnon's
Immanuel
was so handsome that night, that I took his photo with his guitar several
times....
Efrat, who was sitting next to me, once grasped my camera.
Due to this, I am also included in the Feast's documentation.
