or a demonstration
of what the judges intended to achieve.
 
I, Christa-Rachel, Immanuel's mother,
have been healing, learning and creating
through "Healing-K.i.s.s." since 10 years.
That it was erased on..... Christmas 2008

was a sign: "no longer create new pages!
but add new creations to existing pages!

Everyone wants to be a Cook,
a special program with the finalists of Masterchef
.
This is really a summary or an excerpt or a demonstration
of what the judges, here: Chaim Cohen, intended to achieve
.

Immanuel to Chaim about Avi's Arak-Peppermint drink:
"How tasty he made it!"

At this occasion
the Three are allowed
to not only drink,
but to eat!
Or so it seems.
As to the flavor
of what was to be mainly Chaim's dish,
they are all surprised,
that it was
"delicately hot",
and not as expected
from Avi,
very hot.
Chaim praised him greatly and so did Immanuel.

"Me?" asks Avi,
"Yes because it was you
who flavored it."
Comment of Rachel:
When Elihav said, that only a mother could make such a dish,
Immanuel uttered: "
MY mother did not prepare fish like this."
I think it was the only time during all the cooking shows
- except in the first one, the "Profile-Assignment" -
that my son mentioned a specific food of mine,
but lo! a food-not-cooked.
It was not so much my ego which revolted,
but the memories of my self-afflicted tortures
during the first 10 or so years of my marriage,
especially the first years, when Immanuel was too small
to eat dinner with us on Shabbat-Eve.
The superhuman investment in ever new, original recipes
could have definitely competed with the dishes of the Masterchef candidates.
I had the belief, yes the obsession, that I had to please my husband,
and my only "easy" day was Sunday,
when the threat of the 2 weekend meals was relatively far away...



It is Immanuel, to whom Chaim wants to dedicate his second dish

"The dish that we'll prepare together, Immanuel,
will be Gnocchi,
but it will be filled, it will be like "Kubbeh",
Kubbeh-Gnocchi"

"Immanuel, well, I like this gesture
of your hand on your heart"

"We'll make a shoulder roast and enwrap it with Gnocchi"
"This is the dish, that is dedicated to you, for you often enwrapped"




[Rachel's comment:
I'm happy,
that the words
"for I believe"
appear under the carrot,
peeled by Immanuel ,
and the praise of the meat
under the parsley root,
also peeled by Immanuel...
And that at least at this stage
I don't have to exhibit
part of an animal,
which suffered through all its life ,
and through the way it was killed.]
Chaim laughs:

"I call this dish
'Gnocchi Nr. 5'

for I believe ,
that if most of the people
make this and love this ,
then why not go with it
to a place which is a tiny bit different,
but that most of the way
will be something
which is familar and liked,

and I also love this meat .
Avi: "very good meat, indeed"


"le-chaim" "to life" (cheers), "a good life , Chaim"

Chaim: "Now I take all the vegetables.."
Elihav: "I see Rosmarin, I hear Chaim say: count the needles."
Chaim laughs: "You learnt something from me!".........
"Now see,
I put the mushrooms,
not because I want to use them, but because I want them to give additional flavor."
Immanuel: "Is it possible to add also celery?"
Chaim: "You can add a leaf of celery, but only one.' .....
"Now I send (sic) it to the oven for 3 hours at least."


"Immanuel, come, Gnocchi"


" We already have potatoes in the oven.
Pay attention. We put salt, and on it the potatoes.
Crude salt is, what absorbs the fluids.
Rachel's comment: Again Immanuel is peeling. Didn't Chaim say, that what characterizing him, is, that he is "enwrapping"?

In the middle of peeling potatoes, in the middle of talking about different treatments needed by different potatoes,
Chaim asks: "Tell me, Immanuel, has your life at home changed from a culinary aspect? " "Without any doubt"
"What does this mean, how does this express? "
"First of all
[I learnt] from all the variety to which we are exposed here, kitchens which I did not know, methods which I did not know,
but mainly - the food will be richer and mainly, more exciting, I think.

"Actually the cooking ,
the experience of cooking
is totally different,


"I cook a lot at home.
I invent and try out new things,
and even to cut a potato at home
feels different,
it's difficult to explain this , ...

"it is an experience
of touching the material,
which wasn't there before,

to feel the material "

En-JOY-ing and growing with Mika and my Family
following the documentation "Mika's Heaven on Earth", inserted since Song Game 2007_01_01

September 26, 2011

Two days after the Finale, on Sept. 26, 2011, I joined Immanuel, when he fetched Mika from the noon-school,
I wanted to learn, where it is located, so I'll be able to fetch her from there myself, should there be a chance.
Gallit was the one, we met in the pool recently, now I saw her in her school, one room in the commercial center.
Mika still becomes sad, when she remembers, that Abba was "only" the third in the Finale,
and both, Gallit and Abba, tell her again, that being the third means being a winner.
When we left that room and floor, and walked out to the piazza, girls jumped on the new celebrity.
