This became one of the earliest folksongs of new Israel.
I learnt it - together with "Let
us draw from the springs of freedom" -
even before I came to Israel for my scholarship in Jerusalem,
in September 1960.
I was the second chairman of the "German-Israeli-Study-Group"
(Deutsch-Israelische-Studiengruppe, DIS) at Tuebingen University
until July 1959,
and it was Martin Fincke,
soon to become my fiance,
a member of the first German Students' Group allowed into Israel,
who brought us the gift of this song.
Mika
and her friends: "I want to know all the children of the world" Here she prevents Keshet (rainbow) to run towards the road with its cars. Mika and the World: Here she follows the TV reality series: "A star is born" The last event was too late for her to stay up. When - first thing in the morning - she asked: "Who became the Star? " and I told her: "Diana!" she said: "I'm glad! I wanted her to win! But Ohad (one of the 3 finalists) --- he didn't feel hurt, did he?"
where being and playing are fun" [Godchannel]

On the
day, on which I returned, Immanuel was again preparing to fly to the Far East, this time to Hongkong and this time with his eldest daughter, Elah. I found the sisters on the floor, Mika was imitating Elah's heart. |
