The source of the song is a Talmudic proverb,
which seems to point out the pathetic situation of the present Israeli Prime-Minister


"If into the cedars fell a flame,
what will say the mosses on the wall?"

I turned the meaning around
wanting to give a message to "Erez" - cedar - then a friend with low self-esteem:


If the cedars will rejoice in their hight,
the mosses on the wall will raise their heads.

Of course, this is a message first of all for myself, see September 8, 2008

Today in the pool this song came to my mind suddenly,
and with it a third stanza - just like that - without intention:

"If the cedars will love themselves,
the mosses on the wall
will recognize their worth."

How mysterious , that this could refer to both:
the worth of the cedars, as the worth of the mosses.

On April 29, 2011, Efrat sent me a link to info about expressions in the Hebrew Language
The first article which I chose to open was: "If into the cedars fell a flame"..
There it's claimed, that "aezov" is not a "moss",
but our cherished spice plant "Za'tr" (origanum syriacum)

It is still Tuesday, August 24, 2010 and Mika is now in the pool with her three cousins, my daughter's children

The three cousins love to embrace,
and they embrace Mika with them,
but Mika is shocked by the "khibbuq"
and tries to get away from the three
as fast as possible.
