and tune: Christa-Rachel Bat-Adam July 1981, when my first-born, Immanuel, was recruited into the army May 2000, shortened and improved, when Ruth-Efrat, [who later became Immanuel's second wife] had to leave her beloved Galilee and move to Shoham, where Immanuel lived, to be close to his children. Dedicated to starchild Lior Oren a day before she would be "freed" from the army, but was not sure to where she would go now - 2009_01_19 |

STUFEN |
An English Translation which I found STEPS/STUFEN As every blossom fades High purposed
we must traverse |
On January 19, 2009, Lior and I discovered this cave (which
soon I came to call "the Immanuel Cave"...).
It was there, that our understanding concerning the need to part again for
some time - reached its culmination.
The next day I walked there again - some 30 minutes north-east of Bet-Nehemya - in order to capture some images connected to our parting
"Are you dreaming about living in this cave?"
Lior asked.
She had experienced with me both - Noah's
Cave and The
Cave of the Womb.
"To live in it, no - though its spacious, with two entrances and a window
in the back,
but who knows - perhaps it might be needed as a refuge some day..."
It looks idyllic, doesn't it?
But during both visits , the idyll was marred by the shootings of exercising
soldiers some 300 meters below and across the cave
We left the cave and after another 10 minutes or
so, sat down below this carob tree - a tree so cherished
by me
Sitting on these rocks under the carob-tree we parted
lovingly:
Lior has still to grow and to be absolutely certain,
that she is in no way an echo of me,
but her own great self:
Li-Or Or-en.
A last letter to Lior, which exemplifies the kind of healing-work
Lior answered, that she still hadn't found a farm of sheep or goats
to work on. |
The final - temporary - parting: in great love - on February 19, 2009
